Chapter 3: A Perfectly Good Explanation

"Ahem, well, you already know that I go by Jimmy Neutron. 14 years old and a scientist with some pretty cool inventions, like my robot dog, Goddard. I'm from a town called Retroville, in Texas, and I go to a school called Lindberg Middle. I was previously working on a new invention when Goddard felt something off in the atmosphere. He began to go haywire, so I followed where he needed to go, with some necessary things. That's when we found a green portal and knew we had to go through it to see if it was safe to remain in the area. Now I know it isn't, seeing that I'm now in your world, Danny. Or should I say, dimension," Jimmy began.

"Dimension?," Danny asked.

"That's right. I say dimension because we are all from different ages in time and we're all clearly different species, aside from who we are as individuals. I mean, Spongebob is a sea creature and Timmy has two fairies. It's quite clear when looking at it that way," Jimmy said.

"He has a point. I have two fairly god parents that grants all of my wishes and I'm 13 years old. Turns out they only grant wishes until kids are in their 20's. I just got home from school and us three just felt something was wrong. It frightened us, so I wished for Cosmo and Wanda to take me to the source of this fearful feeling, after looking around for too long. Then we wound up to a green portal as well, went back home to pack a few things, and decided to check out what was inside. I had no idea I would end up in another dimension, in another part of time," Timmy said.

He sounded like a kid that just wanted a vacation from his parents, bullies, and school, including his babysitter. Who knew a 13 year old would still need one of those. This also explains who the two small people were by his side.

"You think you can wish for your fairies to bring you all home?," Danny asked.

"It wouldn't hurt to try," Timmy said, making eye contact with Cosmo and Wanda, nodding in response. "Cosmo, Wanda, I wish me, Spongebob, and Jimmy were all back in our own dimensions."

"You got it, sport! Here we go," Wanda said, granting Timmy's wish.

However, in response to Wanda's magic, both her, Cosmo, Timmy, Jimmy, Spongebob, and Danny were zapped by a strong amount of lightning.

"Aaaaaaah!!!," They all screamed.

"Oooow! Wh-What in Neptune's name happened?," Spongebob asked, lying in pain.

"What the heck was that for?!," Timmy questioned, angrily.

"W-We have no idea. W-We only tried to grant Timmy's wish and our magic totally backfired on us," Cosmo said, confused.

"This has never happened before. Usually after granting a wish, giving a few hours or so, and a bad event, we reverse things to how they were before the wish. But now we were just all electrocuted, clearly without the wish being granted," Wanda said.

"Interesting. It might be because either you three are in another dimension, or whoever is behind all of this cross-world caos could be blocking your magic, if not the ability for us to go home," Jimmy said.

"This is just a hunch, but I think I know someone that may know what's going on here. He is the master of time, after all. I have a plan, but we're going to have to do it tomorrow, when I get back from school. It requires going back through that portal you guys came from and searching for him in the ghost zone. He goes by Clockwork," Danny said.
