Once upon a time, there was a young man who believed nothing was more important in the world than a wish. Not just any wish, but the one that drives your heart. The one that makes you who you are inside and out.
But he also understood how impossible it is to make that wish come true. As well as how easily dreams are to be destroyed.
And so, he set out to do something to ensure no more disasters will come. He studied the magic of the world tirelessly and became a mighty sorcerer, able to protect from harm or ill will, any wish given to him, and for the good and the worthy, even grant that wish. It was then, he gained the attention of a young woman, who was a sorceress with magic similar to his own. The only thing that seemed unusual about her was that her golden hair and silver eyes occasionally glowed each time she used her magic. Nonetheless, the two sorcerers created a friendship built from honor and trust in one another.
The sorcerer didn't know if the world would want his or the sorceress's gift. But he, his loyal wife, her supportive older brother and the sorceress found the most perfect island deep in the Mediterranean Sea. And there they built a kingdom like no other, where anyone, any family, no matter where they came from, were welcome.
And to their joy, people came, settled there from far and wide, gave their wish and appreciation for his protection, and with the very real hope it could one day be granted.
His brother-in-law and the sorceress brought guidance, faith and wonder to the people with hope that their faith in having their wishes granted soon will never fade away. A few months later, they married and had a loving son, who had hair and eyes like his mother's.
When he grew old enough to study magic, he became a student of the sorceress and her brother-in-law so that in time, he would use his gift for the benefits of the kingdom as they both did.
He was a marvel in the eyes of his family and their people, with magic as beautiful as the many wonders his mother brings.
. . .
On a balcony outside a bedroom at a castle, a 17-year-old boy is leaning on the rail watching the morning sky as a flock of birds that fly by chirp in the air. He is tall, fit and handsome with fair skin, silver gray eyes and shiny short golden blond wavy hair that parts from his left side.
The boy's clothes are in shades of blue with tints of silver and gold. He wears a long-sleeved ivory shirt with shiny yellow gold dots printed all over it, a two-tone blue four-point star-inspired design, silver threaded-trims and small bright white star-like decorations on the crew neckline underneath a cerulean tunic with a diamond and four-point star-inspired pattern around the hem in four shades of blue and two tints of gold and a navy blue belt bordered in medium blue with silver diamond-shaped studs and a gold diamond-shaped rose-like buckle with a bright blue eight-point star behind it, vanilla white pants with medium blue stripes and shiny bright silver dots bordered in azure blue and tan knee-high flat boots.
Sitting beside him on the rail is a small female goat with brown fur, brown eyes, beige patches on her eyes and muzzles, droopy ears with pink canals, thin brown eyebrows, a pink nose and a light brown underbelly. She wears an orange dress with short puffed sleeves and a small orange bow on her tail.
A knock is heard at the door from outside the bedroom. "Come in." the boy calls out.
The door opens and a handsome man enters. The man looks taller than the boy with fairly tan skin, brown eyes, short gray and white hair, a mustache and a short beard. His blue clothing looks similar to the boy's, but with shades of brown, consisting of a russet brown tunic with a triangle and diamond-inspired pattern around the hem in three shades of brown and a bronze waistband with a big and small white diamond going along the band in the center and a blue diamond-shaped rose-like buckle over a long-sleeved cobalt blue shirt with dark blue cuffs adorned in gold diamond-shaped studs, a brown belt slung around his hips on an angle at the left carrying a sword, a bright blue cape fastened at his chest with a white diamond-shaped rose-like clasp, navy blue pants and light brown knee-high boots with dull-gold laces. "Good morning, Prince Lucian." he bows his head in a greeting.
