my beautiful girl

my beautiful, beautiful girl.
the girl with black hair,
the girl with blue eyes,
the girl with the soft freckles,
the girl with the soft, kind hands,
the girl with the beautiful teeth,
the girl with the perfect nose,
the girl with the kind heart.

you make my heart sing,
a song full of love.
a song full of admiration.
a song of hope,
of peace,
of love.

you remind me of fog,
for you comfort me in my sorrows.
warm me when i am cold,
chill me when i am hot.
you shorten my view to end my stress,
darken the bright sun to help me see.
you alone make my noisy mind quiet.
you alone make my soul smile.

like a bunny does to a small child.
the bunny hops around,
doing his normal activities.
yet there's still a little girl watching,
in full admiration.
she wants to hold the bunny,
to feel him against her.
to feel his soft fur,
to feel his warmth.
she wants to keep the bunny.

when she grows, she realizes something
she didn't just want the bunny,
she became him.
she walks around,
following her daily schedule.
there's a girl, a year younger than her,
watching her every move.
admiring,
observing,
in awe.

that girl wants to hold her.
that girl wants to feel her against her,
to feel her warmth.
she wants to keep the girl around.

you are the girl.
you are the child admiring the bunny.
you are the girl with black hair,
the girl with blue eyes,
the girl with the soft freckles,
the girl with the soft, kind hands,
the girl with the beautiful teeth,
the girl with the perfect nose,
the girl with the kind heart.

you are my beautiful, beautiful girl.
