True to his word, Jax had Kit's house cleaned of any traces of blood by the time she was released. The carpet in her bedroom had been cleaned so well, there was no indication an altercation had happened there. Gemma was picking her up from the hospital and driving her home. Tig had been called for some club business so he wasn't able to help her. When they arrived at her house, Gemma offered to make her something to eat since she'd missed lunch but Kit politely declined stating she was just going to lay down and go to sleep and that she wasn't that hungry. The matriarch just nodded and made sure Kit got into her house with no issues. Kit locked her door once she'd entered and moved to the living room to stretch out on her couch, watch some TV, and go back to sleep. She set her prescription bag on the coffee table before laying down. She had an antibiotic she was to take twice a day along with her pain medicine she was to take every four hours until the pain began to subside when she moved. Then she was to take the pain meds as needed. Once she was settled on her couch, she went to sleep. Tig had gotten a key to her house made and promised he'd be by after he got off work that day. He would be slowly bringing his clothes from his apartment over to her house then dealing with all his belongings in his apartment.

After he got off work that day, he headed straight to his apartment to grab the two bags he'd already packed then headed over to Kit's house. When he arrived, he found her sleeping on the couch with the TV on. He chuckled before heading upstairs to drop his bags off. He figured she wasn't in the mood to cook, as she was still healing, so he opted to just call them in some dinner. Looking through her take-out menus, he opted to go for Chinese food that night. He ordered a container of General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, a container of fried rice, and an order of egg rolls. Once he'd put in his order, he grabbed two plates, silverware, and paper towels then brought them into the living room where he quietly set them on the coffee table. He headed back into the kitchen to pour them both a glass of tea. After setting the two glasses down, he gently shook her leg to wake her up. She opened her eyes and looked around. He smiled at her when she looked over at him. He told her he had dinner on the way and that she should probably sit up for a while. She thanked him before cautiously sitting up and scooting around to give him more room on the couch.

The pair remained quiet as they turned their attention to the TV while waiting for their dinner to arrive. There finally came a knock at the door so Tig got up after grabbing his money and headed to the front door. To his relief it was their dinner arriving. He paid, grabbed the bag that held their food, then shut and locked the door before heading back into the living room. He spread the containers across the coffee table and told her to dig in. She grabbed a little of both of the chicken dishes, some fried rice, and two egg rolls. He grabbed some of the beef, General Tso's chicken, some fried rice, and two egg rolls. The pair ate in silence, watching the movie that was playing, and just enjoying the food and the company. When she'd eaten all she wanted, he took all the leftovers and put them in the fridge then took their dirty dishes and set them in the sink. He refilled their tea glasses then sat back down with her. She was very tired and just wanted to sleep. She stayed up until about eight pm then decided to head off to bed. Tig helped her up off the couch and upstairs to the master. She thanked him for his help and for dinner earning a wide smile in return. It was painful raising her arms to undress but it was necessary. She climbed into bed and quickly drifted off to sleep.

Over the next few weeks, Tig slowly moved his clothes, toiletries, movies, books, and anything else he couldn't live without to Kit's house. He donated everything else to the local thrift store so someone else could have his unneeded household items. The thrift store drove a big box truck to come pick up all his stuff so he had to stay at his apartment to finish packing up what was left like dishes and pots and pans while he waited for the thrift store guys to arrive. Kit was doing much better and wasn't in pain like she had been after the attack. She only had to take her pain medicine if she over did it during the day. She was thankful she was healed up enough to get back into her normal routine and get back to work. The slice to her neck, the deeper cut to her arm, and her stomach did all in fact scar over as it healed although the slice to her neck wasn't as visible as the others. Tig talked to Happy about doing some tattoo work on Kit to cover the scars which Happy agreed to do. Kit promised she'd cook for him or pay him, whichever he preferred. Happy took the homecooked meal. Once she'd been given the go-ahead from her doctor to get back to work, Tig made arrangements for Happy to come over one evening to do her first tattoo. She wanted a colorful butterfly on her stomach to cover that scar so Happy drew up what he hoped she'd like. Tig still hadn't inked her with his crow but thought he'd bring it up again soon.
