Kit didn't usually have to work on the weekends and Tig always had Sundays off work unless their was club business to be handled. She did a load of laundry, went to the grocery store, and filled up her truck with gas. Tig was sitting around the living room watching TV when she returned with an armload of bags. She unloaded her truck and put away all the groceries by herself. She left a package of thawed hamburger meat out in the fridge so she could make tacos that night. She switched the laundry from the washer to the dryer then moved to sit with Tig. It was just a lazy Sunday the rest of the day now that she'd almost finished all her chores for the week. She normally would have done it all on Saturday but she was busy making desserts for the cookout and opted to do everything the following day. Instead of making dinner that night, Tig suggested they go out to eat and for a ride afterwards. She liked the idea so she left the thawed hamburger meat in her fridge. Mexican food was her favorite so that's what Tig decided on taking her for before their bike ride. When they finally left the house, Kit didn't know where he was taking her for dinner. She was very pleased when they pulled up in the Mexican restaurant's parking lot. They had to wait a little while to be seated but were finally brought to a table in the middle of the restaurant.
He ordered a bowl of queso to go along with their salsa for their chips before looking over their menus. It didn't take her long to decide on what she wanted as it was what she usually ordered. The chicken fajita quesadillas with extra Pico, no sour cream, no guacamole. It made Tig chuckle. Tonight he opted for the steak fajitas with extra cheese and all the sides. He was drinking a beer with dinner while she opted for a Dr. Pepper this evening. The pair discussed her next tattoo which was going over her chest scar, some of the shenanigans his brothers had gotten up to after she'd left the clubhouse the previous evening, and that Chibs and Quinn both wanted to come to dinner soon. She was always happy to host his brothers for dinner as she'd done it when she was married before. Before long, their food arrived. She sighed happily as she put some Pico on one slice of her quesadilla and took a bite. It made Tig feel good that she was happy. In one of their many talks before he'd killed her husband, she'd confessed her unhappiness with her husband and how their marriage had all but disintegrated. She ate slowly, savoring her meal, and enjoyed her company. They discussed the upcoming week and what they thought it was going to be like. Her job was stressful and chaotic but she loved it. His was a little more boring and frustrating.
After they'd finished eating, he paid the tab then ushered her back to his bike. She climbed on after him then wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned against his back. It made him smile as he navigated them out to the highway. They drove along in silence just being together out on the open road. When they came to the next town over, almost thirty miles away, Tig turned the back around and headed back to Charming. She loved getting these impromptu bike rides. It was nice being out on the open road with her lover and she understood why he preferred riding his bike to driving in a car although she'd never be able to handle a bike on her own. When they returned home, she went to take a hot bubble bath while he grabbed a beer and settled on the couch to watch some TV. It was about a week later when Happy approached Tig and asked if Kit was ready for her next tattoo. He assured his brother she was ready and would have dinner waiting for them when they made it to the house after work that day. Happy never took money from his brothers or their 'ol ladies for doing tattoos although he did charge others for his work. Kit was working on some fried chicken, loaded mashed potatoes, fried okra, and cornbread after she returned home from work. Tig had sent her a text after his talk with Happy to let her know that Happy was coming home with him to do her chest tattoo that night.
She was bringing the food to the table when Tig and Happy walked in. Tig fetched him and his brother a beer as she was refilling her tea glass. She greeted both men and told them dinner was ready. Tig told her how great everything looked as the trio sat down to dinner. She asked about their day so Tig explained about the two cars he'd worked on, some of the shenanigans his brothers had gotten into, a situation with Juice and a repo (which got her laughing), and an annoying Lexus owner who thought they knew better than the mechanics what was wrong with his car. She shook her head hearing all Tig had to say. He then turned the conversation over to how her day went. They discuss some of her patients and surgeries she'd performed and some of her coworkers. After dinner, as he usually did, Tig had her head straight into the living room so Happy could start her tattoo while he cleaned up from dinner and put away any leftovers. Happy took out the stencil of what he'd drawn from what she'd told him she wanted making her gasp. It was even better than what she'd dreamed up. He had her take her shirt off and lay on her back on the couch so he could start the tattooing process. When Tig was done cleaning the kitchen and dining table, he joined the other two in the living room and engaged Kit in conversation about any more tattoos she might get at a later time and some of his tattoos. Several hours later, she was standing in the bathroom staring at her chest. It was so beautiful and it made her smile.
