Ch. 2 | His

¨tadhana¨ by up dharma down

HIS POV:

Walking down shiratorizawa for the first time as a third year hasn't been any different. Almost the same people as last year, just the 3rd years from before are gone. None of this bothers me though. I mean why should it?

I walk in the cafeteria, lining up to get food. The same food from last year, scrambled eggs and rice. Nothing too special.

I gather my food down and find a clear table near the door with rei's table right beside mine. As i grab my spoon to finally start eating, tendou satori a team mate of mine from the volleyball team starts talking.

"Ushi-chann what you eating?" He says as if it wasn't painfully obvious to both.

"See for yoursef tendou." I say with plain un interest in him.

"So cold ushijima-chan, you know you should really warm up to me" tendou says with his two pointing fingers up in the air and a pout on his face

"Tsk" a sound coming out of my lips as he says whatever. I do not care of whatever anyone says about me or my demeanor.

Time skip~

It's around 3 pm when the intercoms made a sound.

"Ushijima wakatoshi please come to the boy's volleyball team gym."

I gather my things as i was excused from class, slowly i walked out trying to seem invisible. Walking out of the classroom with the halls filled with windows, i see the cherry blossoms, blooming to its abilities. Beautiful.

Slowly as i reach the gym i see coach and rei the manager.

"Ah ushijima, we wanted you to do some paperwork for the club." Coach says while handing me a piece of paper full of information for the club.

"Yes coach, is that all i need to do?" I say, bothered why i have to do this when it was his job but i suck it up since i am captain of the team.

"Ah i also need you to contact a new manager for the team, rei's a third year already so we need to have another manager." Coach says with displeasure handing me a piece of paper with a girls name and number written on the top. y/n l/n.

I quickly fill out and sign the papers coach gave me finding it annoying i have to do all of that when it's him and rei's job.

While walking around campus i decided to walk near the cherry blossoms.

coach needs me to call the new manager for the meeting on Wednesday, such a bother. He could've done it himself.

As i reach for my phone from my back pocket i get the number coach gave me to type in. xxx-xxx-xxxxx i press with each number i press another petal falls.

"Hello is this y/n l/n?" I say annoyed while watching the cherry blossoms all around me.

"Uh yes this is she. What can i do for you?" A quiet and low voice of a woman answers the phone, i can hear every breath she takes as she talks.

"I'm ushijima wakatoshi, the captain of the boys volleyball team. I'm here to inform you that you got in and that our meeting is on Wednesday 4 pm so arrive early." I say while hanging up on her.

While waiting around the cherry blossoms slowly the intercoms started playing ¨tadhana¨ by up dharma down.

slowly i see a woman approaching my area. i see her Trying to put on her scarf however the wind has other plans.As the scarf blows away from her i see her face. Suddenly everything slows down. From the loud chatters of birds and the gusts of wind slowing down.

Everything seems to slow down even my heart rate seems to stop.

The wind carrying the scarf approaches near me. Slowly The petals start falling on her while she tries to run gather her scarf but slowing down once she sees me. the scarf stopped in-front of me, a violet knitted scarf.

"Hey can you pick that up?" I hear her say towards me, a familiar voice the same one from the phone call however this time her voice was breathy and sweeter than on the phone. different yet the same.

i grab the scarf and when i reached it to her our hands grazed briefly, slowly many of the cherry blossoms started falling all around us causing her to look at the beautiful petals falling down. each petal causing her eyes to glimmer. our hands still both on the scarf before ever so slightly moving our hands back.

¨thank you¨ she says with a slight smile on her face and a small nod. i nod back at her as she walks away with her scarf on her hand. turning her back on to me while i move forward, taking each step longer, looking back at her. Pretty like cherry blossoms
