Ch 4 | cafe

it's finally friday, the day you have been waiting for. you and semi have been so excited for the new cafe that's going to open today at 4 pm. you haven't gone out of school grounds for the last week or so.

you have gotten ready wearing a white off the shoulder top with a black miniskirt, tights and red mary jane's. you put on a red bow on your hair that was curled enough just to make waves. you brought along your red hand bag as you walked out of the dorms.

there you see semi waiting for you while on his phone leaning on the wall.

¨eita-chan let's go?¨ you say as you walked towards him.

¨i have to get something first, can you come with me to the gym? i forgot my wallet there¨he says while scratching the back of his head. you nod as he led the way to the gym.

while you guys we're walking you passed by some of the girls volleyball team's players, you always wanted to try out and play a sport but you just didn't have the skill set and confidence to play in a large audience. you envied the people that we're able to get in.

as you walked in the gym, you see 2 guys grabbing something from the closet. it was tendou and ushijima. tendou was wearing a black sweater with blue jeans while ushijima was wearing a turtle neck with dark blue jeans as well as a watch on his left hand.

¨ushijima-chan can i have my wallet?¨ semi says as he approaches the two of them. ushijima hands him his wallet.

¨be more mindful about your things semi-chan¨ tendou says as he puts his arms on the back of his head.

"Yea i know" semi says while grabbing my wrist as we were about to head out.

"Are you guys going on a date or something?" Tendou says with one of his eyebrows up, questioning why me and semi were dressed up

"No we're just going to the cafe opening near the 7/11" semi says a little red

"Ohhh if that's the case let me and ushijima-chan join in on the fun" tendou says with a big smile on his face while patting ushijima's back

"Sure tendou-chan" you say with a smile.

Time skip-

You guys went inside the cafe, the atmosphere was great. What you guys didn't know was that it was a cat cafe and surprisingly enough there weren't to many people inside probably because it wasn't that known.

You, tendou, ushijima and semi sat down on one of the bigger tables next to the window. It was bright outside with the breeze blowing on the trees outside.

"What do you guys want?" Semi says while checking their menu

"A latte." Ushijima says with a stern face.

"Uhm can i get a red velvet cake and Frappuccino "you say as you look through the menu

"I want a mocha Frappuccino" tendou says while walking up.

"Let me get it with you tendou" semi says as he follows tendou with his wallet.

As you abd ushijima were left alone, it was quiet. Awkward maybe. However you both paid no mind and instead watched the trees move as the breeze carries it. Suddenly you felt something on your leg.

It was a cute little cat, it had long whiskers with grey fur. It was rubbing it's body on to your leg. You slowly picked it up while petting it's head. As you looked acrossed you, you see ushijima looking at you.

"Do you wanna pet it?" You asked him as you were petting the cat.

"Can I?" He says while tilting his head to the side.

"Of course" you say as you hand him the cat. He picks it up a little awkwardly, brushing your hand against his. His hand was cold yet a little rough, probably from playing volleyball so much.

You see him play with the cat as his eyes gleam with excitement. You can barely see a reaction but you could see how excited he was playing with the cat. Slowly creeping you see a little smile form on his face.

Cute.

Wait what? What am i even thinking?

Thoughts surfaced as you watched him. Suddenly you heard chattering, it was no other than semi and tendou carrying a tray full of foods and drinks. They got desserts along with the drinks you guys asked for.

As they dropped the trays on our tables I couldn't help myself to grab the red velvet cake right in-front of me, as i grabbed it a hand was already on it.

It was a strange yet familiar touch. It was no other than ushijima. You guys stared at eachother before finally you back down and had to force ushijima to eat because he didn't want to "steal" it from you.

Maybe it was when you guys finally started getting comfortable with each other.
