Snow was colouring the landscape white. I saw children in the distant, making snowballs and throwing them at eachother. It was in the middle of winter. The trees had lost their leaves, and snowflakes were falling out of the sky, slowly landing on the ground.

I had finally reached Valiry city. The streets were lit by candle light and lanterns. Families were in their warm houses, talking and drinking. They were having fun, completely forgetting the cold outside.

I saw a tavern in the distance. I walked towards it. As I opened the door I saw a bar surrounded by stools. A giant lamp was hanging from the ceiling. People were sitting and standing next to large tables. I walked towards the bar. A man was pourring drinks for his customers.

"What can I get you, lady?" The man looked at me. He had a long, slender figure.

 "I'll get a beer," I said, "I shouldn't drink too much."

The man took a glass and tapped some liquid in it. "Here you go. You don't look familiar. Are you a traveler perhaps?"

"Yes, I am. Actually, I'm a vampire hunter."

The man looked at me interested. "Vampire hunter? Vampires don't exist!"

"Yes they do!" I put my axe on the table, "This is my weapon. I heard there is a vampire in this city. I'm here to kill it."

The man looked confused. "I have never seen one in my life. Is this a joke?"

I am starting to lose it. "Yes, they exist. I have killed many of them. They look just like humans. I need information on vampires in this area."

"Whatever, if you say so, lady. What kind of information do you need?"

"Ever heard of lord Amdis?"

The man shook his head. "Nope, doesn't ring a bell"

"Okay. Is there the Mansion of the Red Rose in this city?"

The man looked at me. "Yes, there is. But the thing is empty. No one lives there anymore."

I look him in the eyes. "This is perfect. How do I get there?"

"It's located in the woods. You'll be there in an hour if you walk fast."

I smiled at him. "Thanks for the information!"

I paid the man and left the tavern.
