I searched it up. And it popped up. Oh my fucking god. Is it even real? I clicked on it. Apparently the name of the lab is unknown, but it could possibly be unnamed.

"Holy shit..." I muttered. "I can't be witnessing this. Unless this is some weird ass bullshit pulled by some random people, I can't really seem to buy it. But I have to dig more deeper into this."

And that is exactly what I began doing.

...

It seems I found a useful piece of information. "People of all ages can be test subjects and/or experiments. If you are deemed worthy enough, you can and will get an enhancement." That sounds crazy! Obviously, I still don't know whether to believe it or not, but oh well. I decided to look in the mirror. Vibrant red, wavy hair, put up in pigtails with a white headband that has a bow smack in the middle. Grey nightgown with pictures of coffee and navy blue pajama pants with green stars. My iconic green eye and hazel eye that can turn grey whenever I'm sad, sick, angry, or stressed. Just basically any negative emotion or state. I chuckled. "Okay, I look hot."

After a little bit, I decided to put on my favorite rose gold bluetooth headphones and listened to Taylor Swift while playing some games or just simply doing art. Taylor Swift is my personal hero and idol. I have been a huge fan of her since I was about 3 years old.

"Ronnie!" I heard my sister's voice.

"Whaaaaaaat."

"It's 10:30. Time for bed."

"Oh come on! Can I just stay home and ditch tomorrow?"

"Veign, you're still 10." I giggled at the nickname.

"Okay? So?"

"You need that education, even though you're already quite advanced for your age." Ate sighed. "Sleep deprivation can REALLY affect your health there."

"Okay Ate, fine."

I switched off everything and headed for bed. But I couldn't just let the thoughts about the lab linger. And I can't sleep with my hair up either. I took out my pigtails and removed the headband. I then set them inside one of my drawers. I went onto my tablet, so that the sounds of my computer keys clacking wouldn't wake up my sister. Despite her being 17, she was a sound and heavy sleeper. I started doing more research.

...

I found out something else. Something that shocked me. It seems all of the enchancements are determined by code. And it also seems that what they do before enchancing you is tell appearances and ages. But there was one that stood out the most.

Appearance: Long, red wavy hair. One green eye and one hazel eye that can turn to grey.

Age: 10

Code: Error

What. The. Fuck.

"Dude, is that me?!" My voice wavered. This is probably a coincidence; it HAS to be a coincidence... right? Still, I could not believe my eyes. Maybe I should've snuck to watching some South Park in secret instead. I turned off my tablet, plugged it in and went to sleep.

I think I found out my truth pretty damn quickly.

...

Now, I do not see things, or think things the same anymore.
Life has officially changed for me. And I will still find out more truths than lies.
