The next morning, Ate and I decided to go to our local convenience store that sells Asian food and products. And let me tell you— that food is good as hell. Japanese snacks are delightful; they hit different. As I walked along one of the snack aisles, I got a phone call from Charlie. I hadn't heard from those two in a WHILE. "Ate, my friend is calling me. Can I go outside?" Ate looked at me and sighed. "Sure, just mind your surroundings." I went outside and answered the phone.

"Ronnie! I can't find Dexter— I don't know where he is! He went to walk around the neighborhood and didn't show up!"

I was shocked. "WHAT?! That's not good. Where do you think he would likely be?"

Charlie sounded like she was tearing up and about to have a breakdown. "He probably went into the forest! I really don't know! I hope Dexter's alive! I'm already missing him so much!"

I was shocked. "I'll get my sister to come and find him." With that, I hung up and stormed to my sister. She looked at me. "What's wrong?! You're pale as hell." I caught my breath before speaking. "Charlie's brother is missing. I want you to please drive me to the forest and see if he is there. Please. She almost had a breakdown over the phone!"

"Okay, let's go."

She walked with me to the car and we began to drive.

"Ronella..."

"Ate. I need to think. I haven't known these people for too long yet I know a lot at the same time. I don't want anyone to die. No one should fucking die! And I don't want ANYTHING TO HAPPEN-"

"RONNIE!"

I snapped out of it. "You almost started a fucking fire! Be careful please! I love you, and I love this car as well." I grinned and shook my head. "You and your cars... It never gets old." Ate giggled a little bit before keeping her eyes on the road. Dirt road, leaves, trees... basically anything a forest would have. Then we came to a stop.

"This should be a good spot," Ate said. "We're in a secluded area and the car is covered by trees. We'll probably be fine."

"Hopefully..."

I got out of the car and was starting to walk when my sister came next to me.

"No. You're not going alone. I may love the car, but going alone may not be the best choice ever. I'm coming with you."

"Fine. But if we die, I'm going to be pissed."

We walked for hours and hours with no success. We didn't eat much, so that didn't help. We walked for a while, and then I heard a voice. One too familiar to me. I ran to the source, knowing who it was immediately.

"RONNIE! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!"

I kept running until I saw him, I knew it.

"RONNIE!"

"DEXTER!"

We embraced each other for at least 2 minutes before pulling away. "Your sister is worried; where were you?!"

"I was trying to find the truth about everything, from Dai to you. I needed to find out the truth of everything. Dai isn't lying— I got that covered, but as for you, we still don't know. We need to figure that out." I nodded.

"Okay, now that we're back together, what should we do fir-"

Suddenly, this large mechanical arm grabbed Dexter, causing me to jump. My sister had just arrived on the scene. "OH MY GOD!" I exclaimed, and my sister started yelling. Then I heard a laugh and a voice.

"Hey little one. Thought you could hide away from me?"

It was a man, standing next to it. The voice was deep and sounded like a wannabe Dracula. "I found you, and I got your little friend. I say, he's not an escapee, but he seems quite... tolerable to be with us." Ate grit her teeth. "You CANNOT do this to my sister. She's only 10, she has a full life ahead of her! You're absolutely psychotic!"
