There was something wrong. That was the first thing he noticed when he left Lola in a safe place. The waters were rough, and the bad feeling kept growing in his stomach, the same one he had shortly before Sabo died. The weather was more aggressive than usual, as were the animals. He didn't like it at all. Much less how Ace's vivre card didn't stop dancing between fire and normality.

"Brook," Luffy called from 'his special seat,' strangely serious.

Everyone had noticed Luffy's seriousness and had been trying to cheer him up in his own way, without much success. So they were trying to please him in everything he said, did he want more food? At the captain's orders, did he want adventures on a dangerous island? As the captain ordered... They looked at Brook, some more discreet than others.

"Yes captain?" the skeleton asked, with the proper etiquette they used when Luffy was serious.

"Do you know any calm pirate songs?" Luffy didn't even look back, just forward, straight into the storm.

"Sure, captain, do you want me to sing it for you?" Brook responded, trying not to show his surprise at such a request, so strange coming from Luffy.

"Yes" clear and loud, many felt a chill at that single word and how much conviction he had saying it.

Said and done, Brook began playing the violin. Everyone returned to what they were doing before the request, trying not to appear surprised by it. It was strange, but Zoro had said it would be better if they just pretended everything was normal as they waited for it to go away.

"The King and his men

stole the Queen from her bed,

and bound her in her bones,

the seas be ours and by the powers,

where we will we'll roam,"

Quiet, everyone listened to the song in silence. It was like a ballad, only accompanied by the violin, the sea and the wind. Normally, Luffy would say something about being more happy, starting a party... But at that moment, Luffy was just an imposing figure and presence on the ship, silencing anyone who dared to contradict him. For some reason, he was in a bad mood, and that bad mood was accompanied by the sea.

"Yo ho, all hands,

Hoist the colors high,

Heave ho, thieves and beggars,

"Never shall we die,"

Sea songs were Luffy's favorites. Everyone assumed it was because he was a pirate, or something like that, but he knew them at all fully. Sometimes it was even scary, you would be humming a fishing song from your home island and he would follow it as if he had grown up with it. Naturally, he knew this one. On another occasion, he would have asked Brook to stop playing that song immediately, but at that moment it seemed opportune. A sentiment he seemed to share with the musician, it seemed.

"Now some have died,

and some are alive,

and others sail on sea,

with the keys to the cage,

and the Devil to pay,

we lay to Fiddler's Green,"

In other parts of the sea, it continued it's bad mood. Something strange on the Grand Line, although what could be considered strange in that sea? For his part, Shanks celebrated the chaos caused by Luffy in Ennies Lobby with a party, but the sea began to get violent, along with an unfriendly sky. He put down the glass before he could start drinking. In the distance, he could hear a melody that made his hair stand on end.
