During lunchtime, Lea, Kieta, Iris, and Camilla headed to the cafeteria, grabbing trays of food before settling at a quiet corner table.
“So Lèa, how was your first day of classes?” Camilla asked munching her food.
Lea shrugged "Missed my first class thanks to the principal's lecture, Omg! He gives too many advices and my another classes were okay," she replied, adding sauce to her fries. The girls laughed, they knew it, because they're also experience it.
“Oh girl, I love your accent.” Iris said, making Lea laugh, while they were talking they heard loud noise. The whole students were cheering joyfully. Only Lea table was sitting silent, they exchanged a confused look not knowing what’s going on there.
“What’s going on ?” Lea mumbled asking.
Suddenly someone from the crowd climbed on the table, standing very tall his back was facing them and Kieta recognized him immediately and let out an annoyed sigh.
"Girls, it's Scott," she muttered, while Lea remained clueless.
"Alright, everyone, listen up!" Scott's voice boomed as he addressed the crowd. "This Friday evening, Jk is hosting a pool party at his penthouse. You're all invited! And where's my lady, Kieta?" The crowd erupted into cheers.
"She's at the corner table,” someone shouted from the crowd, soon Scott jumped off the table and makes his way towards keita.
“He’s coming for you" Iris whispered, controlling her laughter.
“Hey Keita" Scott greeted as he approached. Kieta was seated beside Lea.
Keita shot him with a cold glare.
“what do you want?” she sneered, clearly unimpressed by Scott's presence.
“You, and you know that" Scott replied, his voice softening as he Leaned closer to her. Lèa eyes widened, What a romantic confession is this, she slightly smiled looking at Scott. But his full focus were on Keita, who didn’t even give a shit about his presents and munching her food.
Camilla and Irish exchanged silent glances, a routine occurrence in their daily lives. Taking a seat beside Lea, Scott broke the silence.
“Oh, Hi there You might be the new student Lea right?” Lea was Surprised,
“Hi, how did you know me?” she questioned, knowing Scott wasn't in her class.
“Well, you’re the hot topic of our university today, The boys already have their eyes on you" Scott informed casually, popping fries into his mouth. Lea couldn't believe it. Why did this always happen to her wherever she go?
“Oh god" she muttered under her breath.
Scott chuckled and turned to Iris and Camilla, asking, "So, are you guys free Friday evening? JK's throwing a pool party."
‘Jekay, what kind of name is this' Lea thought.
"A pool party? We'd love to go, and Lea will come along with us," Camilla responded, glancing at Lea for confirmation. Lea managed a slight smile and nodded her head.
“Keita?” Scott questioned, Camilla looks at keita with a positive reply.
"Ask her yourself," Iris interjected, not liking how Scott always used her friend as a pawn.
"I'm not coming. I have some work to finish," Keita declared, without even sparing a glance at Scott. Scott sighed in frustration. Keita always managed to slip away, firmly rejecting whatever he offered.
"Come on, Keita, don't you feel anything for me, even a little?" Scott pleaded, his interest in her evident since the day he laid eyes on Keita. Despite asking her out on a date, she had turned him down. The entire university was aware of Scott's persistent attempts to win Keita over.
“Have to say this Scott, I’m not interested in you, and I’m here for my studies, so please don’t waste your time on me" Keita snapped angrily. Scott chuckled upon hearing the familiar rejection once again.
"Next time, you better come up with a better reason. For now, I'm out," Scott said, grabbing Keita's plate and making his exit.
"You jerk!" Keita shouted in frustration; it was her lunch plate he took.
"I'm hungry, my darling," Scott retorted with a mischievous grin, prompting laughter from the entire cafeteria as they witnessed their playful banter.
"Poor guy," Camilla teased, earning a sharp glare from Keita, who quickly silenced her.
"Let's share," Lea offered, sharing her food with Keita, and the lunchtime passed in such exchanges.
After finishing their remaining classes, Lea and the girls headed back to the dormitory. Being foreigners, they all resided in the university's residency.
“What’s your room number Lea?” Iris asked, standing at the entrance of the dormitory.
“It's 14," Lea replied.
“OMG! That’s i expected. It’s okay, ask the in charge to change the room Lea, There is also a bed vacant in our room, you can ask for it.” Camilla said, concern evident in her voice as confusion swirled through Lea's mind.
“Why? Is there is anything wrong in the room number 14?” Lea questioned, curious about the unpredictable reactions of the girls.
"Listen, Lea, there's this girl named Jenny. She thinks she's the queen bee of our university, a real spoiled brat and a bully. That's why we're suggesting you change rooms," Keita explained, prompting Lea to laugh at the blunt statement.
“Well, don’t worry i can manage” Lea said, giving them a confidence smile as she walked towards her room.
“If anything goes wrong call us girl, we’re in the room 22” Iris called out, and Lea nodded in agreement, touched by their friendliness and concern.
Moments passed, The sun disappeared from the sight and the moon peeked out, Everyone was inside their room studying, doing their work, face timing to their family, Like our Lea doing.
She just finished her face timing with her boyfriend, and answered her mother call as well. Unpacking her luggage she arranged carefully everything on the cupboard, her roommates were don’t show up yet. She was all messy doing the works So she decided to shower. Taking the towel she marched to the bathroom to take a bath.
Little did she know that forgetting to lock the room door would lead her into a great disaster.
Though the dorm rules I've crafted might seem ridiculous to some, i wrote like this for polt twist. However, the reality of dorm life is quite opposite. So please bear with it.
