In a rush, she slammed the car door shut and furiously made her way into her house. Her eyes darted around the living room, desperately searching for her mom, but to her dismay, she found no sign of her mom.
"Mom" She calls out loud, then drops herself tiredly on the sofa.
"Coming Léa" Her mother Evelyn shouted from the upstairs bedroom. Then Léa could hear her mother's footsteps getting closer and closer until Evelyn finally came into view.
"Why did you call me mom, you gave permission to go out then why? you totally ruined my plans today." Léa said Sadness and anger are evident in her voice. She had made plans to go out with her friends after college, but Evelyn called her to come home immediately.
Evelyn sign out deeply controlling her anger not to yell at her daughter it's her fault so she was silently stood there.
Seeing her mother standing still, Léa realized her mistake and shut her mouth. "Mom" pushing her hair backwards she called out.
"I'm sorry" Yelling at her mother is not right thing and Freya regrets instantly.
"It's okay honey! I'm sorry too" Sitting beside her daughter, Evelyn said. Léa smiled slightly. There is a gentler understanding between the two of them more than a mother and daughter.
" So mom why did you call me in such a hurry?" Evelyn was silent . She is thinking how to say this, although this is a happy news but somthing she couldn't tell now. She had to say one thing, She had to tell another lie to hide the truth that she couldn't let out. and there wasn't much time left.
"I god a promotion" hearing her mom's words Léa was giddy with joy, she saw how hard her mom worked day and night for this. Evelyn deserved everything in the world.
Evelyn is data Engineer, works at a top corporate company that produces electronic devices like phones, Macs, watches, pads, and air pods. She doesn't have to work because they own a successful corporate company.
After Léa's dad passed away, the company was taken over by Freya's dad's best friend Mr.Jeon jung so min. Every month, Evelyn receives a significant amount of money as their share of the company's profits. their bond is still genuine, Evelyn was relieved knowing Mr. jeon is honest man. He owns JEON ENTERPRISES which is world's top most best company. Despite being one of the wealthiest individuals, he continues to support them, never forgetting their friendship.
Evelyn is determined to maintain her independence and keep pursuing her passion for work, even though she has become wealthy. That is what made Léa love her mother so much. she's so proud.
"Wow! That's really great mom. Congrats!" Léa said and hugs her mom tightly.
"Thanks honey" Evelyn said voice low, Léa could sense the lack of happiness in her mother's voice. before she ask what happen, her mom said it finally.
