Her teary eyes glared at me. Full of hatred. Hands balled into fists. Full of anger. What a pityful sight.

I raised my gun and pressed it against her forehead. "You know, this time you won't be waken up by your dear Sage." I didn't know why I was talking to her. I should've just pulled the trigger and end it. But I didn't. I didn't.

"I hate you." She whispered in a sharp tone.

"..."

Why did those words hurt?

"I know...." I whispered and looked down, breaking the eye contact.

I averted my gaze for just a second. But that one second was a second too long. The girl had used the short moment that I was inattentiv to hit the gun out off my hand. It slid over the ground a few meters away from us. I felt a strong grip around my neck and was pushed to the ground. "Hagh-" I gasped for air as my back collided with the hard ground.

"You should've just shot me." The girl sat on top of me, her hands around my neck to keep me pinned down. "You're so weak...what a disappointment. I'm ashamed to be sharing a name with you." An evil grin sneaked up her lips.

Her grip around my neck got tighter. And tighter. The corners of my vision began to slowly fade into a shade of black. My heartbeat pounded heavily in my ears.

Ah...did I fail?

"Guys, I lost contact to Iris! Do you know where she is?" The Australian girl asked. Yoru, who was next to her, just shrugged, he didn't seem to care.

"Nope, I can't reach her either." Jett spoke through the earpiece.

I let out a sigh. We had a task to fulfill and they shouldn't get distracted, it would only end in a chaos, so I decided to step in. "I'll take care of it. You, focus on the mission." I knew where she was. I knew where everyone was. It's not that difficult when you've got your eyes everywhere. I utilised my cameras and searched through them. On one of them I could see two people fighting. One of them held a revolver against the other's head. It was Iris and...her clone? Why were they alone? I grabbed my Phantom and hurried to the place.

As I arrived, one of them was already lying on the ground, the other one sitting on top and choking her. I needed to do something or else our team would've had a number disadvantage. I raised my gun and aimed. But who was the real one-? Eventhough noone would say it out loud, most of us had ask that same question before. We and the mirror selves are fundamentally different, yet it was impossible to tell them apart from just the looks or the voice. It was terrifying in some way. If one day one of us would be replaced by a copy, would we be able to tell?

But in the end there's a much deeper connection between us both. I would never not be able to recognise those eyes....Only then did I noticed the pure murderlust comming from the girl on top. I curled my finger around the trigger and pulled it.

*Peng*

I was fighting not to loose my consciousness, when suddenly the other 'me' fell to the side.
The grip around my neck finally loosened and I wasted no second, taking in the 'fresh' air. I regained my breath and sit up. My eyes quickly wandered to the silhouette standing nearby. White coat, large white hat and a mask with mechanical eyes. Cypher. He was holding a rifle, still pointed slightly towards me.
