Chapter 26

Previously on Let Me Hear You

The teacher told us, and we looked at each other and smiled. I got to my seat as Jas dragged her desk and chair to mine. I then looked around, and everyone looked like their desk were pushed together in pairs.   

Constants POV

Soon, the teacher started talking about the homework, but once she got halfway done, Yoongi began to play music; it didn't sound finished, which meant it was either for the album he was making or for the group. Not long after, Jas found out I wasn't paying attention. I didn't mind listening to something like this; it's cool to hear something being made. I hope I can text him later if he's not asleep. But it's yoongi, so I probably won't be since they are on the road to another concert location.

"Come on, girl, you are supposed to help me with this assignment, and all you are doing is listening to yoongi do who knows what." She said to me 

"I hear him making a beat for a new song," I said back to her 

"That sounds cool, and I just hear Kai singing one of their songs." She said back at me  

Not long after, the class period was over, and it was time to go to the other classes. The periods felt sorter and longer at the same time, by leaving 5 minutes early. One time, my next class was pretty much right next to the other, so instead of leaving five minutes early, I went with the bell. Everyone saw me in the halls with everyone else, and a few people asked me what it's like to be famous now. I told them I'm not famous, have a renowned soulmate, and am still the same me I've always been. 

"Hey, your Constants, right?" Someone said from behind me. I looked, and it was one of the popular girls. They used to make fun of my name.

"What do you want?" I asked her back 

"Wow, all I did was ask a question." She said back, getting mad 

"You know my name, Carmen. Remember, you used to make fun of me for it in middle school." I said back to her 

"Old news anyways. The girls and I want to know what happened to you last weekend." She said, pointing  to Sky and Andy 

"You watched the news last night. I know you did because I heard rumors about me earlier, and you are the only one who can make those happen, so what do you think I did last weekend? I'd love to know. I know what I did, but what you think isn't the same. Why don't I tell you the only time Yoongi put his hand on me was my back when we were walking places? His hands, my hands, and other body parts didn't do anything. Unlike you, he and I are waiting till I'm older and living with him, which I will do when I stay with him in Korea for a year. Excuse me, I would like to return to work." 

I said to her, looking at her the whole time, knowing she hates when someone says what they want with her and gets away with it.

"Hey, just because you got a famous soulmate doesn't mean you get to talk to me like that." She said to me 

"My soulmate has nothing to do with the way I talk to you, but you are telling people I lost something when I know I didn't and having to tell people it isn't true. How do you think that makes me feel, huh." I said to her. I then raised my hand.

"Yes, miss. Smith, what do you need." She said to me 

"Yes, can I leave class to go to the principal office? I have to ask him something."
