JJ was sitting at her desk going through files when an unfamiliar face walked through the door, JJ's eyes gravitated towards her, she liked the woman's raven hair.
the woman caught her staring and walked over, "hi can i help you" the woman asked, "oh uh sorry i just, i haven't seen you before" JJ replied as she snapped her self out of it, "of yes, i'm the new member of the team, my names Emily Prentiss", JJ reached her hand out to shake Emily's, "Jennifer Jareau but people call me JJ" she smiled, "well it's nice to need you JJ" Emily smiles and walked away.
a few hours later the team was called into the bullpen for a new case, JJ presented the case, okay so the unsub seams to be going after woman in their late twenties, early thirties, he meets them at bars and then kills them, there are sings of sexual assault and drugs were found in the woman's systems, we have a witness who said he saw one of our victims leaving a bar with a man but he never saw his face.
JJ sat down and the team discussed before heading to the jet, it was a long flight so everyone went to sleep except from JJ and Emily, JJ got up and sat in front of Emily, "you okay" she asked as she looked into the raven haired woman's eyes, "yeah just can't sleep on planes" Emily replied and as she caught JJ staring, "yeah me neither" JJ said as she looked away, the two talked for about an hour until they both fell asleep.
a few hours later Derek woke up and saw JJ and Emily sleeping across from each other holding hands, he let out a laugh witch woke the rest of the team up, when JJ woke up she noticed that she was gripping onto Emily's, hand and her face turned red, she released her grip and apologised, "i'm so sorry" JJ said awkwardly, Emily giggled "no worries"
the team got off the plane and headed to the hotel, "okay who's sharing rooms" Hotch asked, hinting that he was getting his own room, "i'll share with JJ" Emily said before anyone else could say anything, JJ tried to hide her smile but failed, "okay and that leaves Derek and Spencer" everyone put there stuff in their rooms and headed back downstairs to get their assignments, "okay Morgan and Reid you go speak to our witness, i'll go to the station and Jaraeu and Prentiss can head to the crime scene" Hotch said before leaving.
When Emily and JJ got to the scene they looked around, "how's ur first day been" JJ asked, "good, I'm just glad most of the teams nice" Emily said while walking away, JJ though she was trying to hint that JJ wasn't nice, she got confused and a little worried but decided to brush it off.
later that night the team has went out for dinner after solving the case, JJ walked in alone as Emily has went to get ready somewhere else, she wore a tight black dress, she sat down next to Spencer, leaving an empty seat next to her, a few minutes later Emily walked in, but she didn't sit next to JJ, she sat on the other side of the table.
the whole dinner was awkward, we'll for JJ that was, she spent the whole time worrying about what she had done wrong, she went over everything she had said for the past few days and she couldn't remember anything that might have made Emily mad.
about an hour had passed and Emily hadn't said a word to JJ the whole dinner, JJ decided to go outside for some air, "hey guys i'll be right back" she said while quickly getting up and leaving .
when JJ got outside she was approached by a tall man, who looked about a few years older than her, "hey sweet cheeks what's wrong" he said while backing her into a wall, "leave me alone i'm not in the mood" JJ said while trying to push him off.
he kept blocking her from getting away, "come on u know you want to" he said while running his hand down her body, "get the hell off me" JJ screamed which caught some people attention but no one did anything.
the man gripped JJ's neck and tried to pull up her dress but before he could do anything Emily pulled the guy off of her and punched him, he ran off and Emily helped JJ
"are you okay what happened" Emily asked, "he wouldn't leave me alone i told him no" JJ said while trying to catch her breath, Emily hugged her and took her back inside.
later that night back at the hotel JJ and Emily were packing their things
"Emily" JJ said from the opposite side of the room, "mhm" Emily replied as all her attention went to JJ, "did i do something to upset you" JJ asked while still packing her stuff, "no why" Emily replied with a confused face, "it's just u won't speak to me and u didn't even sit with me at dinner, i saved a seat for you" JJ said trying not to sound weird, Emily's eyes turned sad, "oh my god JJ I'm so so sorry i never noticed i feel terrible" Emily said, "no it's okay i just wanted to make sure i didn't do anything" JJ said with a smile as she finished packing, "you ready" she said walking over ti the door, Emily nodded and followed.
