the next day JJ woke up and headed to work, she didn't have breakfast, the words that sam had said just kept replaying in her head, she felt disgusting.
when JJ got to the BAU everyone came over to her to talk about sam.
"he's so nice" Spencer said while smiling, Derek agreed, "uhm he's alright, I'm still deciding if he's good for you or not" hotch said with a straight face, then Emily jumped in, "yeah i think you can do better, he doesn't seam right to me" she said as she walked away, JJ let out a fake laugh and say at her desk.
hours had passed and it was time for lunch, JJ hadn't eaten all day but she didn't want to because she wanted to please sam, she decided she would go for a walk.
when JJ was on her way back she bumped into Emily, "oh hey JJ, i got you a sandwich" she smiled and handed JJ the sandwich, "oh i'm not really hungry sorry, but thanks though " JJ said as she handed it back do Emily without making eye contact, the rest of the walk was silence until they got back to the BAU.
Emily brought JJ into a room, "JJ we need to talk" she said as she sat down on the edge of a table. JJ sighed knowing what Emily was going to say, she stood in front of her and smiled, "what's up"
"what's wrong JJ, you've been acting off since last night, did something happen between you and sam, i saw the way he was acting at dinner" Emily said as she looked into JJ's eyes, she knew JJ didn't make eye contact when she lies.
JJ looked away "no nothing happened i'm fine, just tired" JJ said, Emily was about to say something when her JJs phone started to ring.
"hello" JJ answered the phone, it was sam, "about last night" he said, JJ thought he was going to apologise, "i don't think you should spend so much time with the team outside of work" he said, "what why" JJ relied, "just because i say so" he hung up.
JJ stormed out of the room and into the bathroom she sat down on the floor of a stall and cried, she wanted to please a man who would never be pleased, but she didn't understand that yet.
Emily followed JJ into the bathroom and heard her crying, she opened the stall door and sat next to her, "i know he's the reason you've been acting weird, you deserve better" emily said as she laid her head on JJ's shoulder.
that night
JJ got home to sam sitting on the couch watching tv, "we need to talk" she said as she slowly walked into the living room and sat it front of him, "what" he said as he paused the tv, "i don't think we're working out, i don't feel respected in this relationship and i don't wanna do it anymore" she said as she looked into his eyes, "JJ are you kidding me, u don't feel respected" he laughed and she nodded, "all i've done is try to help you, try to stop everyone from judging you but you don't see that do you" he snarled and stood up, JJ stood up in front of him, "so telling me that i'm embarrassing and fat is trying to help me" she questioned as she followed him to the kitchen, "FOR GODS SAKE YOUR SO STUPID YOU DONT GET ANYTHING" he yelled as he threw a glass on the floor, JJ jumped and didn't anything, she stood and watched as he paced back and forth in the kitchen, he grew more angry and started throwing things, punching walls and ripping paper, "sam get out" she said as she stepped away from him, "no" he yelled in her face, "GET OUT" she cried and he stepped back, "fine, but don't come crawling back", he punched the wall next to her face and left.
JJ began to clean up the broken glass on the floor when she slipped and landed on the glass, she had cuts all the way up her arm, she didn't know what to do so she called the only person she wanted to see right now.
Emily was about to get into bet when she heard her phone ringing, she picked it up and saw that it was JJ, she immediately answered, "hey is everything okay" Emily asked as she stood up, she heard JJ sniffle on the other side of the phone, "can you please come over" JJ pleaded, "of course i'm on my way" Emily hung up the phone and drove go JJ's house.
when Emily got there she opened the door to see JJ sitting on the floor with blood dripping down her arm and puffy eyes, she then noticed all the glass on the floor and wrecked furniture, "JJ what happened" Emily said as she dove to the floor and held her arm, "i broke up with him and he got mad" JJ said as she wiped her eyes, Emily grabbed a towel and held it on JJ's arm, "he did this" Emily questioned, pointing at JJ's arm, "no i fell on the glass" JJ replied as she pointed to the place she fell, Emily held the towel tightly around JJ's arm to stop the bleeding, "JJ your shaking" Emily said as she pulled JJ into a hug.
about an hour passed and JJ was asleep, Emily was sitting next to her and once she saw that JJ was out she tried to get up to go sleep on the couch, but as she tried to stand up JJ grabbed her, Emily turned back to face JJ, "please stay" JJ mumbled under her breath as she held tightly onto Emily's hand, Emily smiled and lay next to JJ.
the next morning they woke up.
"hey" Emily said as she and JJ woke up, JJ wiped her eyes, "sorry you had to come here so late" JJ said while playing with her finger nails, "no it's okay, i'm always here" Emily said while getting up, "are you coming into work" Emily questioned, JJ nodded and they got ready and headed to work.
