Chapter Six

I know I literally just posted a story asking about Meredith and Andy being together but now imma ask you if I should try Amelia and Andy together.

"Shut up" Amelia muttered halfheartedly, knowing that she meant every word she said.

"I've got to go now but text me later, okay?" Meredith asked, wishing she could be there for her sisters and friends, knowing she was where she needed to be right now.

"I will. Have a good day, Mer." Amelia said and ended the call. Amelia sighed and walked back into the living room.

Amelia walked into the room and saw that Andy was still resting her head on Maggie's lap and smiled. Happy that Andy trusted them, at least a little bit.

"Andy, are you doing okay?" Amelia watched Andy nod and sit up and look at her, giving her a small smile after taking off the O2 mask and then turning to Carina. Andy knew she needed to talk to Carina, knew she needed to tell her the truth.

"Do you two mind if I talk to Carina alone for a little bit?" Andy watched them nod. "Maybe go and grab that food we were talking about? Andy turned to Carina. "Would you like to stay as well?" Andy saw Carina nod. "Get some pizza, please," Andy asked, puppy dog eyes out in full force and Amelia knew she couldn't deny her.

"I'll get some pizza and Chinese food." Amelia settled on and Andy nodded, okay with having both.

Andy watched as Amelia and Maggie gathered their things and walked out before turning to Carina. Seeing the confusion and fear on Carina's face, Andy sighed and sat down on the couch next to Carina.

"Talk to me, Andy," Carina asked, wanting to grab one of Andy's hands but deciding against it, not wanting Andy to have a negative reaction when she had calmed down from her panic attack. "What's been going on?"

Andy swallowed. "Since the call we had a couple of days ago with a young black man I've just had a lot of memories come back at once and they overwhelmed me," Andy told her, wanting to be honest with Carina. "Do you remember how the Station dealt with saving two young black girls when a fire broke out?" Andy saw Carina nod and look down and the realization crossed Andy's face. "Oh god, I am so sorry Carina," Andy said and reached out to hold Carina's hand. Andy wanted to face palm with bringing up Carina's brother's death.

"It's okay. I do remember Maya talking to me about that though. She called me the next morning when you guys were just beginning shift after Dean and Robert got released." Carina told her. Still looking down, Andy gripping her hand. "Please continue though."

Andy nodded and this time it was her turn to look down. "I got brought back to that day when the multiple officers pulled out their tasers. I saw the guns being pointed at Robert." Andy told her, looking up at Carina with tears forming in her eyes. "When I got home after seeing you at the hotel I tried to sleep. I tried to turn my brain off but all I kept seeing was me getting pushed down by the cops, Robert standing up for me and cops pointing guns at him, just to try to get back at the cop who hurt his wife. I managed to hide it from everyone, but I had hurt my ankle and I had bruises on my knee. I think I fell a lot harder than anyone thought." Andy paused, needing to take a breath. "I was pissed at the cop, I tried to sue him but obviously someone like me could never sue a white cop." Andy sighed. "Anyways, I got home and tried to lie down. I saw Joyce getting shoved into the back of the cop car. Saw Miller trying to run over to help her but getting tackled by three cops instead. I felt that weight on my chest, thinking about Robert being treated like dirt. I had flashbacks to seeing Ryan get shot by Milo and dying in my arms." Andy tried to swallow back a sob, but a few tears still fell from her eyes. "I couldn't take it anymore, so I texted Dr. Grey, asking her to come over. She had helped me before and she was the only one who knew about how I was struggling with panic attacks." Andy wiped away the tears and looked at Carina again. "I am so sorry I tried to push you away earlier, I'm just not used to having people know what's going on with me," Andy told her, and tears started to fall again. Carina felt helpless. Carina held her arms out, silently asking if it was okay to hug her. When Andy nodded Carina pulled her into her arms Andy broke down, sobs coming out in full force.

"Shhh, Andy." Carina rubbed a hand up and down her back. "I've got you, okay? I'm here. You don't have to fake it anymore, okay? I'm here."
