At the lighthouse, Burt was conversing with Victoria and trying not to swoon.

"So... the lighthouse keeper and his wife are your great grandparents?" said Burt.

"Yes. I come here to feel closer to them. I like to think about the sea... and woman's mortality" said Victoria in her soft voice.

"Holy philosophy. Usually, my thoughts are just about fighting crime and dangerous stunts" said Burt.

Victoria laughed a little. "Perhaps I can cook for you sometime. Then when you're doing a stunt, you can distract yourself by thinking of my apple dumplings."

Burt looked at Jeremy. "She can make apple dumplings!"

"Yes, as well as pudding and onion soup and prime rib..." said Victoria.

"Gosh, Victoria. I'd sure enjoy all that" said Burt. "So do you live in Frontierland?"

"Yes, but not in the bustling town. I live in the forest behind Big Thunder Mountain" said Victoria.

Burt turned to Jeremy. "She lives in the forest!"

"And I drink water from the spring."

"She drinks spring water!"

"But I do have electricity so I can power my electric blanket. I like to be cozy" said Victoria.

"So do I. That is, in a way that doesn't involve a satin cape and itchy tights" said Burt.

"Victoria is perfect for Burt" Jeremy whispered to Patty. "She's mature, old fashioned, and oh so lovely."

"She's not that pretty" said Patty.

"Are you sure? Beauty parlors could have posters of her" said Jeremy.

Patty strutted up to Victoria. "Alright, Victoria. Random question. How soft is your skin, honey?"

"I don't know. How soft is rabbit fur?" said Victoria.

Patty choked back a scream. "Well, this has been fun. But we should head back to Splash Mountain."

"I'd stay if I were you" said Victoria. "This weather makes my hair frizz."

Burt looked at the girl's blonde hair. "It's starting to frizz already. We're staying put."

He walked over to Jeremy. "Jeremy, isn't Victoria great?"

"She's stunning" Jeremy agreed. "But so is Patty."

Burt sucked his teeth in uncertainty. "Except Patty's terrified of heights."

If anything, Jeremy was now forcing his affections for Patty. "But she's very brave at ground level."
