Part 5

Asta's pov:

I walked over to noelle as she's nibbles more of her food. I won't lie she looks... sweet... over these past few days, sitting with her, even though she's been asleep, I just feel so close to her. What her mother said.... those words still echo in my head... After that, all I can think about is noelle... I'm simply watching her eat some food, but I don't think there's anything I'd rather do...

"Hey nitwit, can't you take a hint..." says liebe in asta's head.
"Whatchu mean??"
"Bro, I am not sitting here watching you act like a clueless imbecile... when even I can tell what's going on here..."
"I really have no idea what the hell you're talking about.."
"Ughh, how brain-dead can one idiot be??"

"Hey noelle, I wanted to ask you something..." I realised I left the basket on the chair, so I just sat cross-legged on the bed, I noticed her cheeks were kinda red. "Wait, are u sick??" Feeling her forehead.
"Asta, I'm fine. What did u wanna ask?." she said.

Noelle pov:
Asta really does care... Although I would love to enjoy this dream. I can't help but think about my mother... I was just a baby when she died, and even though I have lived my entire life without her, It's like I've lost her all over again... Ughh, why can't I enjoy this moment with asta.

What was it he wanted to ask me? What if he confesses that he loves me!? "Oh yeah, I wanted to ask.... how you were doing...."

"Uhh, I'm fine??" What did he mean??
"No...noelle... how are you really doing??" It went silent... for almost a minute...

Oh, asta, he saw right through me. I looked down at my lap as I could already tell my tears were coming and my vision started to blur..
Asta knew I wasn't gonna say anything, so he did the talking for me..

"Look, I can't even imagine what's going through ur mind right now, but if there's one thing I know, it's that ur mother loves you very much..."

I sniffle. He can definitely see the waterworks now..
