Everything was according to plan. Myles and I started dating. Sabay mag lunch tapos tatambay ako sa SSG office while he handles some papers. Sometimes we even take a run with our dogs.
It was indeed a dare, a game.
I'm enjoying this game.
" Lym! Aren't you hungry? " I asked Myles when I entered the office. May free access na ako rito ng dahil kay Myles.
It was already lunch break and i decided to bring him food since nalaman kong hindi siya minsan naglu-lunch dahil tambak siya sa papeles. Sometimes i wonder how he managed both his paperworks and school works.
He looked at he and smiled. Iniwan niya ang mga papeles sa lamesa at lumapit sa akin. Its been three days since we officially dated. I know it's a dare but, I'm starting to get scared by how this is turning so seriously. I shrugged that thought. No. This is just a game.
" T-thank you, baby..." He took the food away from my hand. Itinabi niya sa isang sulok ang mga papeles at doon inilagay sa lamesa ang mga pagkain.
" Kain na, kanina ka pa diyan! Sometimes I wonder if you're even a student! " I joked.
It was fun being with him. He was so easy to tease.
Napagpasyahan na naming dito nalang sa Office nila kumain. It's our first time eating here together. Usually doon kami sa cafeteria.
We were peacefully eating when the door suddenly opened. Sabay kaming napalingon doon at tumambad sa amin ang humihingal na si Lucas. He looked like he just ran for a hundred-meter contest.
" S-sky! " His eyes lit up when he saw me.
I took a glance at Lym and saw a familiar expression. I've been with many boys and I know that kind of expression. Does he think may nangyayari sa amin ni Lucas? Why is Lucas here anyway? Akala ko ba palagi silang magkasama ni Trixie! I thought no one would disturb my lunch with Myles!
"Oh?" I asked Lucas.
He suddenly started walking to me, so i stood up. Tumayo na rin si Myles at pinagitnaan kami ni Lucas. He looked.. Different. Myles looked damn different! Gone the shy and innocent Myles, he looks like a wolf protecting it's prey from another predator!
Hey! I am no prey! Kung may prey man sa amin ay si Myles iyon! Yes. Tama! Since this is a game i started playing, then i should be the predator!
" Sky! N-nasan si Trixie? " I looked at Lucas. I raised a brow at him.
"Ha? Hindi ba at kayo ang laging magkasama? " I walked near him. Ramdam ko pa ang protesta ni Myles ngunit hindi ako nakinig.
Mas lalong lumapit si Lucas sa akin. His eyes we're showing symptoms of sleep deprivation, and his face was haggard. Hinawakan niya ang magkabila kong balikat. I heard a groan of protest from Myles.
" N-nagtalo kami...it was a misunderstanding, i don't want to lose your friend Sky! Help me! I need to see her.. " He almost begged me. I was shocked. They're a thing?! Trixie needs to tell me the story! How dare this best friend of mine! Kaya pala ayaw akong kasama maglunch! May kachukchakan pala!
I freezed when i felt Myles wrap his arms around my waist while hugging me fron the back! It was his favorite move!
Mahiyain si Myles pero may mga pagkakataon talaga na ganito siya! He seems different and.. well, manly!
"I saw Trixie with a man this morning. I overheard them talking about Trixie migrating to abroad. Now please leave. You're disturbing our lunch" This is one of it. He seems so different! Hindi siya nabubulol!
But wait, Trixie is migrating abroad?! Bakit hindi ko alam to?! This little brat!
"Baby.. " Nagsitindigan ang mga balahibo ko sa leeg ng maramdaman ang init ng kaniyang hininga sa banda roon.
I noticed that we were the only ones left in the room. When i looked at the clock above the wall, it was already past twelve-fifty.
Liningon ko si Myles para sabihing kailangan ko nang umalis pero hindi ko nasabi iyon at nanlaki nalang ang mga mata ko ng maramdaman ang mainit na bagay sa ibabaw ng mga labi ko.
Myles looked shocked as well but before he could even react, I pulled away while covering my lips.
"S-sorry! " My god! I tarnished an innocent being!
He looked at me, his hands holding his lower lip. He mumbled something but i couldn't hear it.
"Ha? "
He gulped.
"H-halika rito.. " Pati ako ay napalunok ng sinabi niya iyon. After a few seconds when I didn't walk towards him, he walked over to me.
My heart was already pounding so fast i thought i would faint. Every step he took steals my breath away. What the hell is with this man?! Bakit ganito ang epekto niya sa akin?! I dated many guys and they're all hot! But this one, this one looks innocent! Or so i thought.
"B-bakit? " I finally found my words. He smiled at me sweetly before opening his arms, aiming for a hug.
"G-give me a hug please.. "
Unconsciously, i stepped closer to him. I was immediately surrounded by his warmth the moment i went close enough.
In his hug i felt assurance, it was a feeling I've never felt from my past lovers... Yet naramdaman ko ito mula sa kaniya..
"Did you know, I watched you date other men for years while i was in love with you?"
I froze. H-he was what? Aalis sana ako mula sa pagkakayakap sa kaniya para kumpirmahin ang narinig pero mas lalo lang humigpit ang pagkakayakap niya sa akin. His manly scent filled my nostrils.
"Y-you did? " I asked, shocked.
I felt him smell my hair. Mas lalong bumilis ang pintig ng puso ko. Strangely, i could also feel the pounding of his heart and it seems like it was racing with mine. I was feeling a hurricane of emotions. Fear, excitement, happiness.. and something else.. Unnameable.
"Uh-huh.. I-i was mad.. B-but i couldn't do anything.. Kaya't sobrang saya ko ng marinig ko ang boses mo sa kabilang linya ng telepono noong nawala si Sade" It was the time when me and Rina found Sade without his owner.. So he knew me back then? Kaya pala hindi siya nagtanong kung sino ako.
"N-now.. You're mine. I-i'm not l-letting you slip away from me. " He whispered.
And damn it. I'm getting a little scared.
This dare might not be complete..
Because this game is turning into reality.
After spending time with Myles for three days, i figured that he was a kind guy. My kind of guy, though he's not really my type. Thinking about it, five thousand pesos for breaking his heart?
I hugged Myles back.
I'm no longer sure if the dare should continue
