Clover had gone out early in the morning and scavenged for some metals to help Barv with her newest idea. She had not shared her plans but had given her details on what she needed.

She had a messenger bag, as Ma June called it, that she carried her items in. She had found most things that were needed but not all. She would have to make an extra trip tomorrow that could hopefully bring her the rest of the items.

She was on her way back to Ma June when she saw a girl who had brown hair and was wearing a bright blue suit. "Oh!" She whispered as she remembered what Ma June had told her about people living in vaults far from the surface.

She felt a smile break as she watched the girl from a vault attempt to wave at two people who ignored her. "Hello there!" She heard the girl say, making her smile fall as her eyes widened.

She almost turned to leave but stood firm and tightened her grip on the strap of her bag. The girl approached her with a hand out, making her look confused. "My name is Lucy." The girl she now knew, as Lucy said.

Lucy's smile faltered as she was about to put her hand down when Clover reached hers out and shook it. "I'm Clover." She told the girl, whose bright smile returned as they held their hands together. Lucy had a firm grip that Clover couldn't match.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Lucy said as she quickly let go of Clover's hand. "Are you named after the four-leaf clover?" Lucy questioned as Clovers promptly placed her hand back to her bag. "Yeah, They say I'm lucky." She jokes, making Lucy furrow her brows.

"Four-leaf clover...Lucky." Clover said, making the girl nod, "Of course, oh! Could you possibly help me?" The girl asked as she reached behind her, pulling out a photo. "Have you seen this man?" She asked, showing her an image of a man in black and white wearing a smile.

"I'm sorry. But I don't think I can." Clover answered, making Lucy's smile fall. "I'm sure someone else can." Clover told her before waving and saying, "Well, I've gotta go." As she stepped back, Lucy stepped forward.

"Will I see you again?" Lucy questioned forwardly, making Clover feel a heat on her face that she never had. "Who knows? It's a small world." Clover tells her while turning away and hurrying to the groups of people. Lucy followed after her and stopped to ask others.

She walked through the tunnel and hurried down the steps. She removed the bag from her shoulder and walked into the shop. "You are never gonna guess what I saw." She announced as she walked in, causing Ma June to look up from her book.

"You know, I don't guess." Ma June told her, making her roll her eyes as she went down the steps, putting her bag on the table. "I got what I could. I'll go back out tomorrow." She told Barv, who waved her off.

As she walked up the step and back into the shop, she leaned on the counter. "I saw a-." She was stopped by footsteps coming into the store. Lucy smiled at her, making her feel the heat on her face again.

"I'm gonna go finish that order," Clover said, making up an excuse to go back down and into her little shop. She opened up her book and began to write her day. She then closed it before she picked up a plate of armor.

She would finish a project she had been working on since one of her friends. She hadn't had many. She only had one or two she could count on. She had promised a guy named Jimmy that she would finish up an armor plate for him.

He and his brother liked to fight each other with any weapon they could find but didn't want to kill each other.

She had replaced many parts and had also added some. It was now gray as she painted it with some homemade paint she made. She hoped to distract herself as much as possible, giving the girl time to leave.
