Hemera remembered blacking out, nothing else. She jumped awake, and looked around, confused, and she almost blacked out again. A blonde girl, who looked about 16, was staring at her in a, "Well?" Kind of way.
"So you know me now?" The girl asked.
"Astraea.." Hemera remembered. She was still trying to process the whole fact, it was just.. Plain confusing.
"Yeah, genius." Astraea said snarkily.
"I have some stuff I wanna say, sit down." She said.
"Okay.." Hemera responded,
"First off, I'm technically living in your brain, so don't be weird, kay? I can still see stuff out of your eyes if I feel like it. And secondly, I'm gonna guide you with my winds so you don't die, so don't die, okay? I'm not looking forward to you dying too early." Astraea said casually.
"Dying early?"
"Monsters?"
"Oh.. Like.. Oh-"
"Yeah, monsters. Now I'm done talking, got a book or something I can read?" Miss. Blondie asked,
"Uhm.. My bookshelf is over there.." Hemera responded,
The blonde goddess went forward and looked through the books, she grabbed a book from the bottom and looked at Hemera again. She was wearing very non-godly clothes, a pleated skirt with a beige sweater, not the most godly outfit.
"I'm gonna go now. Get some rest, do homework or something, I don't know." She shrugged,
"And close your eyes unless you wanna disintegrate."
Hemera closed her eyes and a bright flash of light went by, she opened her eyes again and saw nobody there. It was baffling, but whatever.
She sat down on her bed and reflected. Huh.. That's something. Definitely SOMETHING. A random Goddess who looks about 16, who's actually over 3000 years old, living in your brain, reading your book from your bookshelf, with a very non-godly look to her. Interesting, very interesting indeed.
Hemera thought about Grover. What was so special about this scrawny, awkward looking kid? She could only wonder. What her dad had told her, was still baffling. Really, really baffling.
And her English teacher, that lady didn't give off good vibes. Maybe she'd give the class homework everyday or something.
But still.. She felt inhumane. Like, not in a mean way, in a literal way.
She tried not to think about it too much.
Hemera grabbed a random book and started reading, getting her mind off of things.
And everything else went as normal as it could go, she ate dinner and went to sleep.
The next morning, was yet another day of school. Lovely? Lovely..
She unwillingly got up and got dressed, she went downstairs and ate breakfast, got inside the car and went to school. Just another school day.. What could possibly go wrong?
