Notes:
Soldiers are taken from their families by law and altered to suit the war's needs, giving them accelerated aging, growing up twice as fast as the average human. The alterations also increases the potential of intelligence, strength, and calm under fire. Then they are trained for 10 years for battle.
As part of their job as soldiers, they are not allowed to take off their helmets unless it's for medical purposes, eating, or alone with their squad. This symbolizes the fact that they work for the army, and are no longer normal civilians. They are given only a number as their identification, their division, and squad name. These are printed in their wrist. Whenever they need to change squads, they get reassigned, which includes the removal of the tattoo. The ink is also a tracker, and it shows up on the squad's HUD (heads up display). They are trained in isolation from the rest of the galaxy, on the planet Nero.
COs are trained in the Alliance's military school, and when the war started, they were drafted into the army. When there wasn't enough COs to match the many fronts, they called in previous graduates. Their children also were trained if they were old enough and able.
The Monocracy is ruled by an unknown human leader with the majority of the group being human as well. The Democratic Alliance made a council, consisting of representatives from all the planets on their side, and are trying to beat the Monocracy so that everyone will be left alone, like it has been for millions of years.
This story takes place 1000 years into the future, where humans have found that the Milky Way holds thousands of other habitable planets with life, and the Monocracy have tried to take over planets for resources.
