As we neared my bed chamber door, I became increasingly aware of how fast what little freedom I did have start to vanish.

Yakotos face appeared in my mind and even though I would have been relieved to not have to see his face again; after his confession of love for me. Now, seeing that I wasn't leaving this palace ever. I didn't think I could look him in the eye without feeling tremendously disappointed and guilty.

I felt disappointed in myself for turning a blind eye towards the feelings he harbored for me. If I had given him a chance to woo me, perhaps I would have given into his advances and bestowed him the honor of taking my purity. I knew in my heart he would have made the occasion as special as he could. Now... I looked up at General Yakmen and frowned with distaste. Now I would have to lie beneath this bull of a man and willingly take his seed. I felt like I could cry.

You stupid, stupid, little girl. I needed to find a way out of this and touched my waist. I felt the edge of the shard hidden beneath my sash.

The servant girl brought us to my door and opened it wide for us. General Yakmen released my waist and guided me into my room with a hand on my back. Panic started to sit in and I whirled around to face him. He practically stumbled over me and staggered back.

"I-I'm sorry." I glanced over his shoulder at the girl and who looked at me wide eyed.

General Yakmen morphed his frown into a pleasant smile. "My apologies Princess. Is there something you needed?" Yes. To get the hell out of here.

I stared at the girl who stood within the doorway, her hand on the knob.

"You there... uhm, w-what is your name?"

General Yakmen turned around to look at the girl. I snatched the piece of shard from my sash, clenching it tightly in my hand before mustering all my strength and jumping up onto General Yakmens back.

"Argh!" He bellowed as I wrapped an arm over his shoulder and plunged the jagged porcelain into his thick neck. Blood spurted out and I felt it spray across my nose and mouth.

The servant girl brought her hands to her mouth in horror. I twisted the shard as hard as I could, digging in as deep as I could and I felt my own fingers bleed from the pressure.

"Y-you l-little wench!" General Yakmen gurgled, reaching an arm over his shoulder to grab the back of my head. He snatched a fistful of my hair as I tried to duck away and yanked me off his back.

I was thrown to the floor against my bed and my shoulder met it's hard, unforgiving surface. I seethed through my teeth at the pain that splintered out and throbbed beneath my scalp.

I scrambled to my knees and watched General Yakmen grab the bloodied shard from his neck and pull it out in one quick yank. Blood sprayed out and gushed down his neck, staining his black vest a deep crimson.

My heart hammered away in my ears and I felt my legs go numb as he staggered towards me. I wanted to scream, to run away but fear gripped me as the inevitable seemed possible. Would he survive this? Would he kill me right now?

"K-king Ma...Mansee w-will have... your p-pretty head on a.... a...."

He loomed over me now and I saw his eyes roll to the back of his head before his face went slack and he fell on top of me.
