"But Minho!"
"I'm serious, I can't, Jisung. I need to work Saturday, my dad needs the money right now." Minho said with a stressed sigh, continuing to walk quickly in the hallway.
"Will you at least try? I'm sure you'll have some free time after you get back at night." Jisung continued trying to convince Minho once again, trying his best to keep up with Minho's quick pace.
"Listen, if I have time and I'm not exhausted, I'll come stay the night. Alright?" Minho assured him, slowing his walking a bit as he realized Jisung struggling to keep up.
"Fine, you know I don't like an empty house though so.. try." Jisung muttered the last few words.
Jisung had always been pretty anxious when it came to being alone, so when his mom wasn't home at night for any reason, he'd plead to Minho for him to come over. Mostly because Minho was the only one who knew just how paranoid Jisung could get at times.
"I will, alright? I'll try." Minho rubbed Jisung's shoulder a little.
"Thanks." Jisung mumbled, sighing before they approached Jisung's class. The two waved eachother off, and went their separate ways.
—————
It was late, nearly midnight, and it didn't seem like Minho was gonna come.
Jisung was undeniably paranoid. No matter how tired he was right now, he just couldn't sleep. He had always been like this, and always had slight attachment issues. So when he was all alone, no one else even in the other room, it scared the hell out of him, and gave him the feeling he couldn't defend himself if something were to happen.
He had himself tightly wrapped in blankets, staring up at the ceiling. Tears pricked at his eyes, desperately wishing Minho had been able to come. He was exhausted, but even with the hours he'd laid there, he just couldn't sleep right now.
Jisung let out a little child like sob, and his eyes filled with more tears. He wasn't sure why he was crying so much, maybe he was just too tired, or maybe he was just scared. Probably both.
He pulled his head beneath the blankets, crying quietly beneath them.
There was a sound of the door opening and closing softly, but Jisung's ears were covered, muffling the sound too much for him to notice it.
Minho lifted his head from looking at his phone after closing the door, only to see a balled up, shaking Jisung. He slowly approached the bed in worry, setting his phone down before gently laying a hand on Jisung's shoulder through the blanket.
Jisung jumped, having not realized anyone was there, and flung the blanket from off his head, eyes wide and still full of tears. His expression calmed slightly before he quickly hugged Minho, practically pulling him off his feet. Minho caught himself on the bed with a quick, surprised gasp.
"Jisung—"
"I thought you weren't going to come, I got all paranoid." Jisung interrupted, his eyes shut tightly as he tried to take in Minho's comfort, his tears subsiding.
"I know, I'm sorry I was late. I worked later since we were busy." Minho muttered, quietly wrapping his arms around Jisung.Jisung pulled Minho onto his bed, burying his face in the hood of Minho's jacket, wetting it slightly with left over tears.
"You're being.. touchy." Minho mumbled, rubbing Jisung's back a little.
"Oh— sorry." Jisung let go of Minho, quickly trying to back off, clearly embarrassed.
"Hey, no I didn't mean—" Minho paused himself, sighing a bit before pulling Jisung into his arms again, but tighter this time. Jisung could clearly feel how strong Minho was in this moment, and how rough his hands were from work.
"I wasn't bothered, it was just a statement. Don't be upset about it, alright? I'm not upset." Minho assured him, gently pushing Jisung's head back into his hood.
Jisung seem to let how a sigh of relief. He was no longer crying, but clinged onto Minho once again.
"I think it's best you go to sleep soon.." Minho whispered, patting Jisung's shoulder before gently laying Jisung's head down to the pillow. "I'll stay for the night, but I'll have to leave probably before you wake up. My dad doesn't know I'm here."
"What? You didn't tell him?" Jisung's expression shifted from relaxed to worried in seconds, scared for Minho in the chances Minho may get in trouble.
"I was gonna let him know, but he fell asleep and I didn't exactly have the guts to wake him up." Minho muttered, as if worried him self about it. But it wasn't like this was the first time he'd left in secret, let alone involving Jisung.
"Ok.. just, be careful." Jisung said, sighing a bit as his body settled into the bed.
"I know, Hannie." Minho kicked his shoes off, rolling into the bed beside Jisung. He stole some of Jisung's covers, and shifted closer to beside him so Jisung could hopefully sleep better without feeling there was a threat nearby.
Within just five minutes, Jisung was out like a light. When Minho looked up at him and noticed, he chuckled softly before taking out his phone and snapping a picture of Jisung, then lied there admiring Jisung's content sleeping face.
