Philip's POV

It was indeed a surprise when I felt the princess's head fall limp on my shoulder. I realized she had fallen asleep amidst the conversations. Her hair falls on her face as they get out of her braid. I gently tucked the strands of hair behind her ears and her eyes gently fluttered but remained closed.

I felt the prince's eyes on me. I looked up to see him staring daggers in my direction. I raised my eyebrows in response. Amaia tugged at the corner of his sleeve. Aditya immediately snapped his attention to her.

"What happened?" I asked the two of them.

Aditya just shrugged, clearly oblivious. Amaia blushed a bit, but answered my question with the words "I'm sleepy".

I chuckled. "Then sleep Amaia! Who is stopping you?"

"I always sleep with my head on your shoulder Philip" she huffs like a little kid throwing a tantrum then she turns to Aditya "its only fair i get to use you as my travel pillow cause your sister the princess is already sleeping on my brother's shoulders" aditya cleared his throat clearly not used to amia's straightforward ways of speaking William and Lakshmi couldn't help by laugh at their bickering

You can't be serious-'

"Off course i am dead serious Mr Prince" Amaia shoots back almost immediately

"You don't have to call me prince you can just go with my name"

Amaia seemed surprised but quickly masked it from the prince but it didn't miss my eyes she looped her arms to Aditya's before she lead her head on his shoulders Aditya turned himself into a statue for a moment before releasing his breath i chuckled seeing this . "It's you who should be careful Annika moves in her sleep a lot that too when you least expect her too" he remarks oh god i chuckled maybe the princess is a whole lot to put up with then i realized

Amaia has already fallen asleep on Aditya's shoulders as soon as the sun disappears behind the clouds and the golden light of the sun fades with the passing minutes and as the wheels of the carriage creak with all the movements everyone falls asleep

My eyes closed on their own violation even though i did not want to let my guard down my body filled with all the tiredness from the travel did not comply with my thoughts

I rest my head on the window as sleep envelops me whole along with the gentle evening breeze after a while

A sudden movement pushes my body to wake a groan slips past me on the thought of my little nap being disrupted i find the princess's hands have moved from her sides to my midriff curling around my body i turned to look at her still asleep from her face nuzzled into the crock of my neck this is the first time i have found myself in a risky position as such

A woman curled around me never in my wildest dreams have I thought i would wake up to a sight as such

Anikka I tried to call out, but it didn't exactly help a lot in my situation she just murmured something in her sleep and her hands tightened around me i held her hand and attempted to free myself from her clutches, but it did not work

The carriage creaks again sharper this time starling the princess from her slumber she shrikes her eyes shooting open the surprise in her eyes morphed into clear confusion what happened I voice out to the carriage rider the ride comes to an abrupt stop the princess pulls back sharply i raise my eyebrows at her actions

What happened the head maid of royals asked a little scared everyone in the carriage got up alerted by the sudden stop the door creaks open it was the carriage man "what happened why did the carriage stop?" Aditya ordered the poor man who looked scared "do I have to ask twice now Mukesh?" he raised his voice a hint of authority seeping through
