Micah was a strange child, at least according to others he was. He would always keep to himself and never really socialize with anyone other than his mother. While other teens preferred to go into star clusters, Micah was content on his isolated star with the only neighboring star being his mothers.

One day Micah left his star to go visit his mother, he crossed the bridge and met his mother in the garden.

"Micah!" His mother greeted him with a smile upon his arrival, "Ello mum" he responded, giving his mother a hug.

"I see you came alone again Micah" His mother pulled back from the hug looking at him, "Mum you know I never leave my star" he gave his mother an annoyed look and then broke from the hug to enter the house.

His mother followed him, shortly after shutting the door behind her. "I know I know, but still it doesn't hurt to talk to people Micah"

Micah rolled his eyes playfully and began to help his mother around the house. As he washed the dishes, she would be outside. Micah's mothers eyes drifted through the dark sky. She looked at all the bright specks of all the other stars in the distance.

Micah continued doing the dishes for a moment before looking up to the window, there he watched as his mother would glance at the sky and then bow her head down. Micah sighed and exited the house joining his mother outside.

"I only wish to see you happy Micah, I know it's been extra hard for you since your father.." she cuts herself off. She was holding back tears as she spoke. "I know mum.. I know.." Micah muttered, placing his hand on his mothers shoulder for comfort.

Micah stayed with his mother for a few more hours before finally leaving. He thought about what his mother said about meeting people and decided for his mothers sake he would try and talk to people.

Micah walks over to the bridge in-between him and his mothers star. He glanced down at the ground to see small flashing lights on some patches of green through the cracks of the wooden bridge.

'Is that the surface?' he asked himself, still looking down.

He decided to pay no mind to the surface land, but as weeks passed he slowly became more interested in finding out what it was like. One day he finally decided to go down and see.

When he first arrived on the surface he was in an open field with short blades of grass as far as the eye can see, with the stars beaming brightly over the field, and gentle fireflies floating around.

He was left speechless by the marvelous sight; it was nothing like he had expected at all.

Micah began to look around as the fireflies did their swaying dance in the grass, "This is lovely" he admitted, astonished by the sights. He spent a few more hours in the field before finally heading back to the cosmos, heading home on his isolated star.

Over the weeks Micah would continue heading back down to the surface in the same little field doing whatever to entertain him. But the more he came to the surface the more he realized how lonely he truly was.

Then finally one day he finally saw someone else in the fields. A boy. A boy with brown fluffy hair and a sweater vest with little sunflowers all over it. The boy appeared to be wandering around admiring the field, it reminded him of his first reaction to the field when he first laid eyes on it.

Suddenly the boy turned to meet his gaze and he froze. Micah and the boy maintained eye contact for what seemed like hours, neither of them bothering to move a muscle.
