The things I can't have - Taylor and Travis (AU)

Travis
Waking up, I open my eyes to see Taylor's naked form pressed up against me, even with all the space in my king sized bed she still chooses to be as closed to me as humanly possible. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

By her study breathing pattern I know she's still in deep sleep so I just stay to watch her for a few minutes.

Last night was absolutely perfect. Everything was so incredible I'm having a hard time believing it wasn't a dream. But the girl next to me is a living proof. God I can't believe I have her, she's so precious. Too good for me, that's for sure. But she chose me for some reason and I won't do anything to jeopardize it. I truly love her, and I think she also loves me. And although I'm not ready to say it out loud to her I can finally admit it to myself and I hope she can feel it.

I try to memorize every single detail in her delicate face before deciding it's time to stop being creepy and get up. I gently remove her from me, trying my best not to wake her. She lets out a cute tiny whimper but soon enough drifting back into her slumber. I kiss her forehead, then the tip of her nose, then I put on my boxers and some shorts and get out of the room quietly to go make her some breakfast. I'm not much of a cook but after she cooked dinner for me last night it's the least I can do.

As I'm cutting up strawberries and bananas for her breakfast I hear the front door unlock and my heart sinks.

Fuck.

I have no idea what I'm gonna do if Austin's back. It's not like I can force him to leave and I also can't make Taylor stay in my bedroom whole day, she has to study and she doesn't have anything here. And he'll probably want to meat her anyways. I met Emma only a week after her and Austin became official, it's been two months and he hasn't met my girlfriend. It feels so good to be able to call Tay my girlfriend and I wish I could share this with my best friend.

"Hey man what are you doing here? I thought you wouldn't be back until after classes" I ask when Austin appears from behind the wall.

"I forgot my laptop" he explains and I nod hoping he would grab it and leave quickly as possible. "Is your girl still here?" I nod. He looks at the counter and a smirk spreads on his face with a light chuckle "oh you're making her breakfast? That's so boyfriendly of you Travis".

"Yeah yeah.. I know I'm a great boyfriend, she told me so herself. She's still sleeping tho so grab what you need and please go, and do it quietly" my heart is racing. There are so many things that can go wrong right now.

Then I hear light footsteps and a sound that is probably my bedroom door opening. Shit.

Austin turns his head and I see the moment his eyes widen "Taylor?!"

Im screwed.
