Marinette POV: Sunday Apil 12th, 2024- Sunday, April 19th, 2024
Sunday Afternoon:
I was sitting on the floor, crying and hugging the Kwamis repeatedly. I missed them so much. It was my fault that they were taken not once but twice. Yet here they were hugging me and comforting me, when in reality it should be the other way around.
"I'm so sorry! I-I-That you had to suffer for as long as you did. I was too weak to get you back! I'm so sorry!"
"Marinette, it wasn't your fault. We promise you that! It was all Monarch's doing!" Barkk says from my left.
"Thanks Barkk." I brush a hand over my wet cheek. "Wait, what happens now that you aren't connected to your Miraculous?"
"Do you still have the ring that Hoaxer used?" Sass asks from above me.
I shake my head, "No I destroyed it. Nobody should hold that much power."
"Well maybe we could..." Daizzi trails off. Could what?
"We haven't done that in many, many centuries. Though I see, wait-" Fluff holds her paw up, stopping mid-sentence. Now that Hoaxer was gone Alix and Fluff returned back to this time zone. "Maybe. If today is tomorrow then yesterday was evening. Hmmm... yes! We should do it!"
"Do what?"
"Turn ourselves human. Well, give people the illusion that we are human. It will take us a week to get everything together." Trixx says from behind me.
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
"Nope. You cannot know about this one. None of the guardians even know we can do this." Mullo squeaks.

"Hey Girl! How was Damians trip back home?" Alya hugs when I reach the front of the school.
"I uh, I don't know. I didn't get his number." I hug her back awkwardly.
She pushes me away and looks straight into my eyes, "What do you mean you didn't get his number? Girl! The boy you fell in love within the matter of a couple of weeks left to his hometown more than likely never to be seen again and you didn't get his number? I thought you stalking Adrian was bad, this is so much worse." She face palms herself.
"He didn't like me like that. So, I just let him go." My eyes start to water at the mere thought of what he said at the airport.
"Adrian didn't love you, remember? He always said, 'She's just a friend.'" She air quotes his annoying line that still stings to this day.
"Yeah, but he said he wasn't ready for a relationship. Especially not with the heroine of Paris." I look down at the ground, suddenly fascinated by my worn-out black flats.
"He said that to you?"
"No, I heard him talking to Alfred about it."
"Oh, Marinette. Maybe he was just lashing out like he does sometimes?" I wish that was the case.
"He doesn't lie. It goes against his morals."
"I call major BS! When he was here, just the five of us, he couldn't look away from you. He couldn't stop trying to touch you in anyway, even if it was just an arm touch. He even confessed to liking you! Remember? He had to have been lying." She was angry now; her reporter face was on.
"Alya, whatever your about to do, don't. I'm fine. I promise." I smile, a fake, pained smile.
