That Specific Scent~

There was something I couldn't get out of my head sense Saturday, it was a scent specifically... Japanese cherry blossom...? I don't quite know why but it's all I can think about it's all I thought about last night, that scent I'm trying to figure out why though.

I was getting ready as the usual but it was quite sunny out today so I decided to put shorts instead of pants on I greeted my parents but then they both had to leave for work so I just scrolled on my phone for a bit.

It came time for me to leave, I don't live far from the new school only like 5 minutes so I decided to leave at 8:05 just to be there not to late. I grabbed my bag and huffed it over my shoulder then left.

Joels pov

I take longer then most of my friends to get ready, even Lizzie called me slow which you'd think I'd at least be faster then her but i guess not. Oh well I don't really care I like having my outfits thought out and not last minute.

As I was getting ready I contemplated putting my perfume on but whatever if I get called gay for wearing perfume I'm going to flip out. "Hey Siri, what's the weather like today." I asked Siri as I needed the weather but I didn't feel like going outside and checking and my parents had left for work already.

I put on a pair of black shorts with a dark green plaid jacket and a limey gray shirt on underneath, I fixed my hair making sure it stayed how I 'fluffed' it (like in most fanart)

I leave at 8:05 because I stop at gems house so we can both walk together, id say we have gotten closer over the year's we both have a love for fighting or boxing as other people would say, we really just like fighting. We also both have a love for fashion so every morning we always give each other a 'fit check' and rate each other's outfits.

"Hey Joel!!" Gem yelled excitingly as she ran towards me, looks like she woke up early today.

"Hey gem! Fit check." I laughed at the last part, she spun. "Hmm 8/10 your navy sweater would have matched better but still obsessed!" (Im cringing...🤧)

"Your turn!" Gem said as I did a 360 and looked at her with a questioning face, "actually what the heck Joel I love it 9.5/10!" "Sick!" I replied boasting about it.(still cringing...🤠)

We started rambling and walked to school then got there in 5ish minutes and we seen some of our friends, also Etho huh he must live close to be here this early. "hey guys!!!!" me and gem shouted as she ran to give pearl a hug, I walked to Jim. "Hey Jim" "what's up big man!" Jimmy replied. "Nothing much how we feeling guys?" I ask around hearing a mumble of 'good' and 'tired' "well we should probably head to our classes now" I suggest before we become late for our classes.

I smelt it again that specific sent, who was it..? Because I can't get it out of my head, is it one of the girls? Is it a guy? I have so many questions. They were obviously in this group but I already knew that because it came from last night.

"Uh.. does anyone have math for their first period..?" I asked hoping to X, that someone had math so I wouldn't be alone. "Math? Yeah I do, so does grian and scar." Joel replied "you wanna walk with us to math?" Joel asked me, I mean why not what could go wrong. "Sure if you want me too?" I said, why did it come out like that! It's sounds like I'm being a pick me almost. "Dude i offered so why wouldn't I want you too? Stupid." Joel replied, did he really just call me stupid..? "You'll get used to that once you become friends" grian chimed in walking with scar holding hands, are they dating? I'm not going to pry. "Come on dumbo, let's get to class" joel said, i can't tell if he's trying to get under my skin or just be funny?
