Emerald

My heart raced as I caught sight of him standing near the edge of the woods .  His presence seemed to electrify the air around me, sending a shiver down my spine. What is wrong with me ?

For a moment, I hesitated, unsure whether to approach him or retreat. But something in his eyes drew me in, a curiosity and intensity that I couldn't ignore. He had the same look in his eyes , the same look that he had that day . The same look that made me so intrigued.

Summoning my courage, I took a deep breath and stepped forward, my footsteps soft against the grass. As I drew closer, I noticed the way the sunlight danced across his features, casting shadows that seemed to accentuate the angles of his face. He turned towards me, his expression unreadable, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still.

"Hey," I finally managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper. I offered him a tentative smile, hoping to break the tension that hung between us.

He regarded me silently for a moment, his gaze searching mine as if trying to unravel the mysteries hidden within. Oh God What if he thinks I'm a weirdo? .  To my surprise, a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. I almost gasp out loudly . The heck ? That'd be so embarassing .

"Hey," he replied, his voice is deep , soft and warm all at the same time .

We stood in silence for a moment, the only sound being the gentle rustle of the wind .  I found myself studying his features, the way the sunlight highlighted the contours of his face and the way his light brown hair glistens .

Breaking the silence, he spoke again, his voice soft but filled with an underlying curiosity. "What brings you here again ? " he asked, his gaze never leaving mine.

I hesitated for a moment, unsure how much to reveal. But there was an openness in his demeanor that encouraged me to be honest.

"Last time I came here , I loved the peacefulness of this place so I decided to visit again "  I admitted .

He nods in understanding, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "I feel the same way," he said quietly.

" You do ? " I ask genuinely curious . He looks at me and nods his head .

We just sit there for a while enjoying the silence between us . It was peaceful not awkward . After a while I realise I have to go back now so I get up slowly . He looks up at me .

" You have to go ? " He raises his eyebrows .

I sigh and nod " I have to . It's getting late now . It was nice to meet you ."

He gets up from his sitting position towering over me , shoving his hands in his pockets and just stare at me . I get a little nervous because no one has ever looked at me like that before . I look down and my cheeks heat up a little . Good God save me .

"I'm Trivon," he speaks up suddenly. I look up at him . Trivon . That's his name .

"Emerald," I replied, a small smile already breaking free on my face .

"Emerald," Trivon repeated, the name rolling off his tongue like a precious gem. "Such a fitting name for someone as radiant as you."

A blush crept onto my cheeks at his words, his gaze igniting a fire within me that I couldn't explain. "Thank you," I murmured, feeling a flutter of excitement in my chest.

That excitement fades as I realise I really have to go now , leaving him . I couldn't help but feel disappointed .

" I should really head home now " I say and begin my small trek through the woods .

Just then , Trivon rushes to me calling my name making me stop in my tracks .

"Emerald!" he called, his voice so deep I almost fainted right there .

I turned back, my heart fluttering with anticipation, to see Trivon hurrying towards me, his gaze determined.

"Wait," he said, . "I know this might seem sudden, but would you... would you like to meet here again ?? Maybe ..... tomorrow?"

I felt a surge of excitement at his words, a smile spreading across my face. "I would love to ." I replied, my heart pounding in my chest.

With a shared smile and a promise of tomorrow, I watched as Trivon  stepped back, allowing me to continue on my way home. As I walked, the anticipation of our next meeting filled me with a sense of hope . A hope to see him again . Hope that I've never believed in before .

Hey beautiful people,

I'm back again with another chapter. Lmk how you like this one .
