So you can enjoy the chapter without worry >~<!

Chapter song: Let Me Love You by DJ Snake and Justin Bieber. You can listen too if you want to!

Note: I normally don't listen Justin Bieber much, but this song is really nice.

Dazai watched Chuuya from across the room, his eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and concern. He could sense that something was bothering his best friend and it pained him not to know what it was. They had always been open with each other, sharing their deepest secrets and fears. Yet there was something different about Chuuya lately, something unspoken. Dazai wondered if he was the cause of his friend's turmoil. The thought made his heart ache.

Deep down, Dazai held a secret of his own, a secret that he had been hiding for far too long. He knew that he continue living this way, after all he didn't know how long he had left to live, pretending that he didn't feel the same way about Chuuya.

It was time for him to take the plunge, to finally confess his love and hope that it would bring them closer, rather than tear them apart, but first he needed to find the right words, the perfect moment to bare his soul. Dazai promised himself that he would find a way to tell Chuuya how he truly felt, no matter how scary or uncertain the outcome may be. Because their friendship meant everything to him and he couldn't bear the thought of losing Chuuya.

Besides, even if he wanted to confess his disease held him back...

Dazai lay in his hospital bed, his eyes fixed on the ceiling as he listened to the faint sounds of activity outside his room. Chuuya sat nearby, flipping through the magazine but casting worried glances at Dazai from time to time.

"Dazai, are you feeling any better today?" Chuuya finally asked, setting the magazine aside.

Dazai managed a weak smile. "Not really, but I will survive. It's just a minor setback."

Chuuya's expression softened. "You don't have to downplay it, Dazai. Pneumothorax isn't something to take it lightly."

Dazai shrugged trying to appear nonchalant. "I have dealt with worse."

Chuuya sighed, the concern evident in his eyes. "You are impossible, you know that?"

Dazai chuckled softly. "It's part of my charm."

The room fell into a comfortable silence, interrupted only by the occasional nurse checking in on Dazai's condition. Chuuya stayed by his side, offering words of encouragement and small gestures of support.

As the day wore on, Dazai's thoughts wandered to the unspoken tension between him and Chuuya. They had always been close for a while now, sharing a bond that transcended words, but lately, there was a distance between them, an unspoken barrier that neither of them dared to breach.

"Dazai, is there something on your mind?" Chuuya's voice interrupted Dazai's thoughts.

Dazai hesitated, unsure of how to voice his concerns. "I... I don't know, Chuuya. It's just been a lot to process lately."

Chuuya nodded, his expression understanding. "I get it. We are in this together, whatever it is."

Dazai appreciated Chuuya's offer of support, but she couldn't shake off the weight of his own fears and insecurities. How could he burden Chuuya with his troubles when he couldn't even face them himself?

"I'm sorry, Chuuya," Dazai spoke after a long pause, his voice barely above a whisper. "For being distant."

Chuuya reached out, placing a hand on Dazai's arm. "You don't have to apologize, Dazai. We all have our moments."

Dazai met Chuuya's gaze, gratitude flickering in his eyes. "Thanks, Chuuya. For everything."

Shian, Dazai's mother, walked into his hospital room. Dazai was lying on the hospital bed, his eyes flickering between the ceiling and the small window that showed a glimpse of the outside world. Tubes and wires connected him to various machines, their beeps and hums providing a constant soundtrack to the sterile the room. Shian could see the fatigue etched on her son's face, the lines of worry that had deepened since he was admitted for pneumothorax.

"Dazai, how are you feeling today?" Shian asked softly, pulling a chair beside his bed.

Dazai managed a weak smile. "I'm hanging in there, Mom. The pain isn't too bad today."

Shian reached out to brush a strand of his hair from his forehead. "I wish could take away your pain, sweetheart. It breaks my heart to see you like this." Her voice cracked with emotion as she spoke.

"It's okay, Mom. I will get through this," Dazai said, trying to sound reassuring despite the discomfort he felt with each breath.

They sat in silence for a moment, the only sounds in the room the beeping of the machines and the distant murmur of voices from the hallway. Dazai glanced at his mother, gathering the courage to tell her something he had been keeping hidden for a while now.

"Mom, there is something I need to tell you," he began, his voice barely above a whisper.

Shian looked at him with concern. "What is it, Dazai? You can tell me anything."

Dazai took a deep breath. "I... I'm bisexual, Mom. And there is someone I have feelings for."

Shian's eyes widened slightly in surprise, but she quickly schooled her expression into one of acceptance and love. "Dazai, sweetheart, that's perfectly okay. I love you no matter what. Who is it that you have feelings for?"

Dazai hesitated for a moment before answering. "It's Chuuya, Mom. Chuuya Nakahara."

Shian nodded, processing this new information. "Chuuya... The boy you met a while ago in the hospital?"

Dazai nodded, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders at finally sharing this with his mother. "Yes, Mom. He has been my friend for a while now, and I have realized that my feelings for him go beyond friendship."

Shian smiled gently. "Love is a beautiful thing, Dazai. It doesn't matter who it's directed towards, as long as it's genuine and brings you happiness."

Dazai's eyes shimmered with unshed tears of relief. "Thank you, Mom. I was afraid you wouldn't understand..."

Shian took his hand in hers. "I may not fully understand everything you are going through, but I will always support you, no matter what."

Dazai squeezed his mother's hand, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over him. He had been so scared to open up about his feelings, afraid of judgment and rejection. But Shian's words filled him with a sense of comfort and acceptance.

With a soft smile, Shian leaned in and hugged her son tightly, whispering softly in his ear, "You are loved, Dazai. Never forget that."
