What seemed like an eternity of waiting, Monday was finally here. It was early, around 6:45 a.m., and the quadruplets had just woken up. School started at 9:00 a.m., so they had a bit of time before they needed to head out.

Blue was the first one to wake up, since she was super excited about school. White was the last one to wake up; he's not too thrilled about school. Blue was already in the kitchen eating breakfast, which was a bagel with cream cheese, and sitting at the dining room table. Green and Pink were putting their breakfast, both of them had cereal, on the table next to Blue when White finally came out of his room.

"Morning, White." Blue said, taking a bite out of her bagel.

White didn't say anything but did a, "Mn." It seems he was still really tired. He went to the kitchen counter and grabbed a green apple from the fruit bowl next to the microwave. He then sat in the last chair by the front door and took a bite out of his apple.

In their little cabin type home, the front door was in the dining room/kitchen. If you walked to the hallway, you would be met with four doors, each leading to a room. There were two doors on either side. It was a big house, or at least, the biggest one in their village. The previous resident, the one who donated the mattress to Blue, lived in that house for several decades---four to be exact. When the quadruplets came here looking for shelter, the lady easily and immediately made the choice to move into one of the unoccupied houses, offering up her place to them. After they moved in, the whole village fell in love with them as they all quickly became a close knit family.

The time was now 8:30 a.m., and the walk to school would take about fifteen minutes. Pink put his long, light pink hair into a low ponytail and threw his matching pink backpack over his right shoulder. Each of the quadruplets had backpacks that match their flame color (White has a white backpack, Blue has a blue backpack, Green has a green backpack, and Pink has a pink backpack). Blue greeted Mrs. Mitchell before continuing on with her walk to school.

The walk was peaceful; the sun wasn't out, yet, not too breezy, and there were very few clouds. There were a couple of bunnies hopping around; one white and one black. They were both male, and seemed to be a couple by the way they were acting towards each other.

They eventually made it to school and one thing they noticed was that these kids wear whatever they want! They saw several girls wearing crop tops and tiny shorts, while some girls were wearing all black; even whitening their face and adding some black makeup to top it off. And then there were the guys; some guys were wearing crop tops, while others were wearing sports jerseys. Some boys were wearing shorts, while others were wearing sweatpants. It was a different sight indeed. But that's not what they noticed at first; what really caught their eye was how many of the kids were looking at them. It seemed everyone was staring.

"Well, this is nice..." Green sarcastically said.

"Why are they all staring at us?" Pink asked.

"Well, our hair colors definitely make us stand out." Blue stated.

"I hope having colored hair isn't against the rules." Pink was concerned.

"Well, at least ours are natural!" Green pointed out.

After a few minutes of uncomfortable staring, the doors to the school finally opened and the kids started swarming in, like cats do when they hear the treat bag being shaken.

"We need to go see the vice principal; she'll have our schedules." Blue said, herding her siblings behind her.

After many, many pushing and pulling, they finally made it to the front office. Blue opened the door, and held it for all her siblings to walk through.
