You stood in front of the taller building leaning on the crutch next to you for support. You were scared. A fear that you passed off as being taken to a new school.

You went in through the visitors entrance, accompanied by a teacher who was going to take you to your home room class. School had already began so you had to suffer the shame of students staring at you as you walked in.

The receptionist entered first, reminding the teacher of the new student that was joining them.

The two of them left the classroom, the teacher standing in front of you and introducing themselves.

" Good morning L/n, " he started smiling at you to welcome you, he had an oddly calming presence, maybe it was his quirk. " I'm Mr Okumara I'll be your homeroom teacher."

His name sounded very familiar from somewhere, where you didn't know it could've been the names of one of the heroes you saw on TV.

" Good morning." You smiled liking his face.

He held his hand out to you, which you held holding the crutch under your arm as you wobbled into the classroom with him, silence overtook the room as all eyes went to you.

"We've got a new student joining us today." He started, his voice was so calming it made all nerves leave your body and almost had you believing that you were meant for public speaking.

" Tell us your name and quirk."

" Good morning, my name is Y/n L/n and my quirk is ghost." You told the class glancing over the students quickly, they all seemed to have kind faces. You were freaking out for no reason.

You were able to ignore the striking of your crutch as you walked to the empty seat that you were directed to, sitting next to the student that you didn't catch the name of.

You made yourself comfortable, sitting and listening attentively, scaring yourself with how well you knew each subject and how little effort you had to put in to understand every topic brought up. Perhaps it was muscle memory.

When lunch rolled in, your teacher had left the classroom, leaving nerves to fill your body once again, them being stronger than they were before as if someone would walk through the door and start shooting you all.

You reached into your bag pulling out the lunch that your foster mother had made for you. Not noticing the blonde boy that stood in front of you a cocky smile on his face.

" Hi I'm Denki Kaminari!" He exclaimed. Putting his hand out for you to shake. You looked him up and down examining the lightning bolt in his hair. His bright electrifying eyes piercing into you. His skin was tan, you thought yourself wondering how he was tan if it was winter.

" I'm Y/n L/n." You answered, hesitantly reaching your hand for his hoping he wouldn't electocute you if you touched him. His hair gave his quirk away.

" What's with the crutch?" He asked staring at the bedazzled cane that was tucked under your table.

" I was in an accident a while back, I'm learning how to walk again."

" No like what type of accident?" He asked, thinking it was a football injury or something.

" I don't really know." You mumbled, feeling very uncomfortable under his bright gaze.

" What's your quirk, oh what you said ghost right. What does that mean?"

" I can do what a stereotypical ghost can do." You told him, your discomfort disappearing as his smile proved genuine and he wasn't put off by your dull gaze.

He seems sweet.

" Wow, I bet you can guess what my quirk is?"

" Lightning." You answered letting a small smile make it's way to your lips, you loved how he moved his hands as he spoke, almost like a kid.

" Close, it's electricity." His smile got larger almost taking up half his face. " I can zap people and electrify them."

" That's cool, really flashy." You complimented taking a bite out of your food.

" Ya think. I'm thinking of applying to UA become a hero, then I'll get to show off my quirk in front of millions." He flexed, showing off his skinner arms as he rolled up the sleeve of his uniform.

" Oh," you smiled softly, " I got into UA, general studies." You told him standing from your chair to sit on the table and face him better.

" Why general studies, I'm sure with a quirk like your you'd excell as a hero. Everyone would love you and you'd be able to defend the weak and stuff." He thought throwing up the words he'd rehearsed for himself many times a day.

You thought for a second, defending the weak sounded so appealing. You even began to forget the injury that held you back and thought of ways your quirk could be used to protect.

" Hero course sounds like a great idea."

Kaminari might be in love, his stupid speech had worked, on a girl no less. How many aura points had he collected. He jumped up in joy doing a small victory dance in celebration.

He's really weird

You smiled at him, weird or not you could tell you'd enjoy your friendship with him.

Especially when it spread to highschool.
