Danny
"Holy shit."
He can curse?
"Oh my god." Nathan stutters.
I try to push my eyes open, slowly they flicker open. Everything's blurry and my eyes burn but I can make out Nathan's figure. He wraps his arms around me and kisses me. His hands rest on my cheeks. I place my arms around him. Nathan releases the kiss and smiles at me.
"Oh my god, your alive!"
I chuckle lightly, still in pain.
He kisses my forehead before clicking a button above me. It makes a loud beep sound and two doctors come in shortly.
"Nathan can you wait outside?" They ask. He nods and leaves.
Nathan
"Hey hon. what happened?" Jenny asks.
"He's not dead! He woke up and he seems fine. I mean he's obviously in pain but you know." I grin.
"That's great oh my god!" She cheers. My mum smiles and I sit down.
A few minutes pass before they call me back in.
"Okay, so. He's gonna be fine. He's staying here for another hour, maybe less, just to make sure he's good to go. You can chill in here, let us know if you need us using the button again." I nod and they leave, closing the door.
"I can't believe your alive!" I laugh.
"I can't believe you swore." He teases
"Shut up. My boyfriend who I thought was dead just woke up. You can cut me some slack."
"I'm kidding baby."
"Love you." I pout.
"Love you too."
We sit and talk for a while before a nurse comes in and asks us to go on a walk around the hospital to get Danny's legs going. I laugh at his struggle to stand up and he scowls at me.
"I hate you."
"I love you too." I say, sarcastically.
After the amusing walk he's told he's allowed to leave. One problem though, he's got nothing to change into. My mum offers to drive me his house to pick up some clothes and I agree. I grab him a red hoodie and some black joggers. When we get back he changes then hops in our car. There were a few forms but the adults did that. He winced as he sat down and I felt horrible.
"What's your pain scale?" I ask
"Where?"
"Overall."
"Physical?"
"Yeah."
"Like an 8."
"Oh." I look down.
"Baby I got cut up like I was a chopping board."
"Shut up." I roll my eyes. He reaches across and finds my hand.
"Right! Home we go." My mum and Jenny jump into the car and we head home.
