(THE END OR THE BEGINNING)
A year, maybe 2 or maybe centuries, I've seen countless people dying right in front of me, being thrown from the train, meeting wrong people, running from the truths. Most of people killed themselves and got their souls trapped for eternity. Here I stood, with Brenda, maybe. Dying? Living? Happy? Sad? I don't know.

I don't know how many days had passed as I stood straight staring the blank, expressionless. In a void. All I heard were screams, laughs, I don't know what, it was all hazy, coming to me while not even reaching me. I felt a pressure on my arms, as if someone grabbed me hard. It was a very tight grip almost cutting my blood circulation. But I didn't fight. I let them drag me away.

Next thing, I was standing in the train when I heard a voice. "Ervin!" for the first time after I don't know how much time, I looked at something, or someone. Here, stood Brenda. She was looking at me smiling. But she looked different. Her curly brown hair was in half pony, she looked beautiful in her new blue dress. Wait blue dress? I scanned her again and realized. Shit, even she didn't find her soulmate. As if she read my mind, she said, "yeah, I hope you guessed it, I failed finding a soulmate, and now trapped." She said while looking down, after taking a short break she looked up again, with concerned eyes, I knew what she was about to say. "The reason you are here, I assume even you failed at the task." "I..." I was losing word, I had no idea what to say, yeah, I failed, I failed miserably, I failed terribly. Before I could open my mouth a tall dark man, I assume another conductor, assuming by his uniform, head straight towards us. For some reason, he looked familiar. He had blue uniform in his hand. I didn't put a single question; I didn't have to. He stretched his hands towards me to hand me the uniform, and I took it with no complains, yeah why would I, I chose this, whom did I even had after all to live for. I looked at the man and he understood, he simply pointed towards a room, I went and got changed. I had so many thoughts in my mind. But this time, they were about Brenda, about me. Are we trapped for eternity I don't know. It wasn't this scary earlier but the fact that Brenda was also now a prisoner made me feel sorry for her. I don't know why. It's not like I know her, but it feels like I have known her for centuries.

After changing I came out of the room. The train was still at halt, and bigger than before, like a whole freaking apartment or something. When I say big, it was big, but not beautiful. Dark and gloomy. Little wall lamps spread light in the hallway as I walked in the alley, a very wide alley. After walking a little I saw someone at a distance. A girl. I walked closer and lights fell on her. It was Brenda she was standing resting her back and head against the wall. She heard my footstep and stood straight facing me on my arrival. She was still wearing that pretty smile of hers. "So, what do think?" she asked. "Think about what?" I asked. "The future. I know it's a lot to take in I know its..." "It's alright"

She looked at me eyebrows raised, then looked away with a sigh. "You really loved her didn't you" I looked at her confused as she continued "You stood there like a statue for whole goddamn week, did you realize that?" She looked back at me, "They didn't disturb you as they said they were giving you a little time to end your grief. They said the very second you deboard the train and end up failing meeting a soulmate, you become the part of magical world, maybe the reason why you survived hungry for days."
"I... I don't know... its just-"
"Both of you follow me to assembly area." Same man who handed me the uniform came. He was trying to look dangerous but I knew what he was. He seemed nothing more than me or anyone else here. I don't know for how long he has been here, but I certainly know that he is concerned for all the new recruits, us. We were walking down the alley lead by the dark tall man. "I'm Patrick Burton." He said breaking the silence after quite long to initiate conversation on no response he tilted his head slightly towards me eyebrows raised. "I'm Ervin, Ervin Roberts" I replied. "I'm Brenda Hart" hart? I thought. "I don't know why you guys are here but..." he took a small break as he slowed diwn his pace for a second, "Never mind, follow instructions, heads down. Your adventure will start now."
