(A pink world?)
“No! how? Is this a mistake.” I mumbled as I held my head in pain. “NO!” I almost screamed. “Are you alright?” asked Brenda as she knocked the door. “I… uh… yeah. Can you please give me a moment. I’ll be out soon.” I replied. “Are you sure?” I didn’t reply.
Then I heard few footsteps moving away. I assumed she walked away. I looked back at the mirror.
“But she… how?” I didn’t know what to. I looked into the eyes of my reflection for the last time.
“I’ll follow my instincts. If it really is the way I think, I won’t let this world fool me.”
I decided to believe in Brenda. I Wiped the little drop of tear which was asking a permission to get off my eyes as I walked back in my room. I noticed a dark marron suit on my bed. I wore it and went back to hall.

As I stepped in the hall, my eyes went to hell. Everyone was well dressed in pink or marron gowns, dresses and suits. That sight was quite depressing for me. They were sitting on the sofa.
“Oh damn you look so different.” Stella said looking at me while eating a fruit, It looked like a slice of apple but I wasn’t sure if it was exactly that considering its different purple texture.
“Appreciated.”
I replied. I turned around and walked towards the table with fruit.  As I was about to pick one of them, I saw pearl enter again. Even she was in a light pink gown, beautifully dressed.
“It’s time to leave.” She said.
“How about Brenda?” I asked.
"She is already with Patrick. She had few queries. You will meet her once we are down."
I didn’t reply and walked past her moving out of the door. Surprisingly outside surrounding was still similar, I was at a little relief for that.
“Where did she go? What query did she have?” I asked to nothing in particular. A few moments later pearl arrived leading everyone behind her.
“Damn nothing changed in here, I like it.” Dante said.
“I mean yeah, I was afraid what I could be stepping at once I was out.” Adeline responded.
“Allow me to explain you about these changes as I lead you to the exit.” She said and looked at me. I slightly nodded in approval. As I followed her she begin,
“This is a cosmic world and is way too much out of your understandings, so the …..uhm… yeah, the heads, who are in-charge of …uhm…, right, this phenomenon. So the people who are in-charge of this phenomenon created the things in easier way for the native of the particular world to understand….uh… lets say… few different worlds are attached together and you live in a portal of those worlds…. I know it’s a little hard but I’m trying. This part of the job is never easy so I spent all the time gathering examples to explain you guys… hope I did well…” she completed her last lines sheepishly. Well, yeah it was visible that she was suffering in choosing words and ways to explain.
“How many times have you explained this to other people? I mean, just a little curious.” Asked Adeline.
“Uhm…well… I have addressed six groups, you guys are seventh.”
“Well, then you really have to work hard I mean… yeah…” Stella said smirking in phony accent.
Pearl just smiled embarrassedly. I turned my gaze from her to back on corridor as we continued to move. I begin thinking where Brenda could be right now. I wonder what she had to talk. It had been about fifteen to twenty minutes since we last talked and I asked her to leave. Out of nowhere I was reminded of the dream. For some reason that dream was embedded in my memory as if I lived that moment instead of it just being a dream.

We kept moving until we reached staircase where we went a floor down. Then we walked on a straight alley until a damn huge door-like looking thing appeared. The door had almost all the shades of pink and a pink cloud mist appearing. Looking at it gave me a weird sense of anxiety and nervousness. Pearl gestured us to stop as she took a few more steps towards the gate. Pearl stood like about a foot away from the door as a pink mist appeared from a door and swirled around her almost making her disappear.
“So, is this like a fingerprint-like scanner.” Dante leaned whispering it to adeline.
“More like soul scanner if you ask me.” Stella replied from behind.
Slowly the mist disappeared. More like being absorbed by the large pink door. As the mist started clearing the door was more visible. It was a way too huge door than i thought, about fifteen-sixteen feet. There were many carvings on the door mostly of lovers hugging, kissing, cuddling, holding hands but also the door held few really scary monster faces which confirmed me this wasn’t going to be a total paradise.

As the mist was totally consumed by the door, the random linings on door gave a really bright pinkish light almost blinding us for a second then slowly the light dimmed as the door begin to open.
