“This will be your place throughout the trip. People take role as conductors only for the planet they used to live in but surely you are allowed to roam at other planets.” Pearl addressed us knocking me out of my thoughts while opening the room by touching the door in random order. Once she was done, the doors didn’t open but become transparent. We entered through it after Pearl. As we entered the door behind us got translucent again. The place we were standing in right now looked like an apartment, well furnished apartment. The room’s walls were painted beige and lighting was good, it had a table with different fruits which I never saw on the right, while a long L-shaped sofa and table with few bean bags at left. The room looked good but still was a little, very much honestly, down market if compared to the kind of house I possessed earlier. I looked around scanning room but instead scanned others face as the looked in the room as if they were looking at some different out of the world kind of luxury. Well I’d be lying if I don’t agree with this ‘out-of-the-world’ statement. As if pearl guessed the shock of their faces, she said, “If you are confused, let me introduce this facility to you. This magical trains forms a place for you to live by figuring out from your memories which kind of place you used to live in.” “that’s superb, at least a thousand times better than my boring apartment.” Dante almost screamed excitedly. “it’s a piece of shitty cardboard doll house.” I spoke softly so no one could hear but it was audible enough . For some reason I felt good, it’s not being rude but mean, I knew, and I liked being myself after so long as ava never allowed me to be. Of course, for my own very good. Listening to me everyone looked at me a little surprised but also with annoyed expression but for some reason Brenda smiled. I ignored their expression as I walked towards a blue bean bag but before I could, Dante well inaugurated the room by jumping on the sofa and allowing its one leg to go flying. “I certainly didn’t have any idea that your magical sofas are this weak. Little disappointed.” Dante, with confidence somehow, complained. “Maybe because it was made for humans to sit...” pearl spoke as she moved away from crowd letting others giggle. I sat on the bean bag while others were engrossed playing around. I saw how Brenda was getting along with new squad well but I even felt Brenda’s presence in their squad ticked off Tristan. Then I noticed Pearl moving at every corner of…apartment perhaps…touching something on the walls. “What kind of ritual are you performing there.” Lorenzo spoke before I could interrupt her. “I’m tying up ruthri.” She replied, “It’s kind of alarms, in your language, for your safety. Ant potential threat, if enters your place, I, Mr. burton, few other earthian heads and you guys will be informed via…. what do you call it, right, telepathy.” “Hey hang on” stella said. “I ain’t getting anything inside my head.” “Don’t worry stella, you are in the cosmic universe, every atom of you is a part of it, so we don’t need any machinery to operate anything here. We just need proper alignments.” “Now that’s messed up and a lot to learn.” I replied as pearl stopped. After a little while when pearl was out of the room of course followed by Dante followed by Tristan. Brenda came and sat next to me. “What happened?” she asked. She wasn’t looking concerned or shocked about anything, just simply relaxed. “I don’t know either.” I replied. “I’m not the kind of guy you have known throughout your journey. I’m neither as plane nor simple. Maybe just my past-self struck at me from nowhere.” “I knew.” She replied shifting her gaze from me to her hands while scratching a tip of her slightly grown nails of her index finger with that of her thumb. “I saw a different spark in your eyes. Certainly, that didn’t match your character. Maybe your truth is simply trying to crawl back in you. Isn’t that great.” She stood from her sofa and came right in front of me offering me a hand. “I am not a psychologist but I certainly can define a bit of your character. I know you don’t take help of others. But working together always sounds like a good option. I would love to be beside the real you instead of the one you have forced yourself to be.” I took her hand as I stood. I stood as I saw her shiny brown eyes. They had a different spark that I never saw but as if I knew them as well at the same time. Her eyes were looking so beautiful right now, like a pool of dense honey. She looked at me smiling, not just smile, but a proud and confident smile making her look more stunning and different. She went on her toes to increase her height to almost match my eye level which decreased the distance between our faces as she whispered. “Don’t worry, we will fight until the dawn, and free both of us from here with the fire.” I didn’t know what to interpret. All I could see and admire was beauty, not physical but internal. Before I could say something a goddamn, unnecessary specific someone said “Do we have a new couple forming…” Brenda stepped away quickly and that was when I realized we just had gap of few inches between us as I stepped back as well looking at Lorenzo who still had a grin across his face. Behind him stood stella and Adeline laughing sneakily. “I told you I had an idea.” Adeline said in response to which I rather stayed quiet.
