English Class
Quinn's POV

Today in English class we were doing a class manhunt. Mrs. Thompson, my English teacher explained what we were doing. She taped quotations, terms, questions, and other things around the room. They were everywhere. Under the desks, on walls, the floors. She would turn off the lights and give the team of 2 people a small flashlight. We then would hunt for the items she has taped. We would discuss, answer questions, and complete activities.

She then told us to go find a partner luckily Jeremy was in this class so I already knew who I would be working with. We got a flashlight as Mrs. Thompson turned off the lights. We started searching for three first question which we found easily and worked it out.

Mrs Thompson was  walking around the room as we worked. Helping students out. I read the next question out loud. "In peel what is the 2nd E?"

"That is so easy." Jeremy said. "Explanation."

We also wrote that down on the paper and moved onto the other questions, the paper was worth 12 points. The easiest 12 points ever. After we were done we turned it in and sat down at our seats. I grabbed my stuff that was on my desk and moved everything into my bag, then I pulled out one of my books I was reading. 'Anne Boylyn, the King's Obsession.'

Before J started reading I looked at the time. 12:05, soon we would be called down. Usually Senior Celebration was at least an hour and a half long, but I wondered what they had planned for us. Usually they watched a movie and had popcorn, and did a few small games before everyone went back to where they needed to go.

I began reading my book, dying out the noises as I emerged myself into the book. I got a few pages in before an announcement came on. "Seniors please report to the cafeteria for senior celebration. Thank you." I unzipped my book bag and put my book into it and zipped it back up. Jeremy was waiting for me and we walked down togther. We were laughing and telling some funny memories of our high school years.

We made it down to the cafeteria and we stood around, waiting for instructions of what we were gonna do. "Good Morning, Seniors." The principal said, we said good morning back. "This year for senior celebration we are gonna start out with games for 30 minutes and we are gonna watch a movie."

We got into small groups, which was Jeremy and I and we started playing Uno. I handed out the cards and then flipped one over, and we started on yellow. Looking at my cards, there was a plus four, two yellows and a few other ones. I got this.

I placed down almost all of my yellows going back and forth, before Jeremy placed down a wild card. "Green!" He says.

I placed down one of my greens and he played a pick up 2 and grins at me. I picked them up, another Green and Yellow. He plays again and we go for a few more turns, I finished playing my Green's and did a pick up four. I changed it to red and had Jeremy pick up 4 more cards and played my pick up 2 yellow, and played another card and my turn ended.

At the end of the game, Jeremy won. We played a few more games before our time was up. We sat around a table as they started to play the movie. Which of course, had to be school appropriate. We had voted on a movie a week earlier, and I guess the majority of the senior class picked a Disney movie. Frozen. We all watched the movie as it started to play and the first song came on. "The senior class is so childish." Jeremy whispers into my ear as some people started to sing somewhat quietly.

"Hey, this might be the last Disney movie we watch as teenagers so be quiet." I whispered grinning.

"I'm just saying, I don't know about you but I knew when I get home tonight my little sister is gonna drag me to go watch a Disney movie." Jeremy whispers back.

"As long as it isn't The nightmare before Christmas you will live. That movie is horrible." I say, Jeremy nodded his head in agreement. I looked around the cafeteria looking at our senior class of 2024, I didn't see Sean though. I needed to talk to him. Jeremy tapped my shoulder as if he was gonna say something. "Shut up and let me watch Frozen." I whispered to him.

A few minutes later, the whole senior class was singing 'Do you want to build a snowman?' It was fun. Our theater group did the Frozen musical last year. The song soon ended and everyone laughed and talked for a minute.

They then passed out popcorn, and we snacked on that for awhile. I looked down and the floor was a mess, popcorn everywhere! The Janitors were going to have a fun time cleaning up this mess. 'Let it go' soon came on and the senior class was back singing.

After that, I got up to throw away our popcorn and go use the restroom by the main office. I looked to see Sean walking outside. He must be leaving early. I went inside the restroom, and went into a stall.

When I came out, I washed my hands and dried them. As I exited the bathroom I looked outside again to see Sean, with his back door open, staring right at the school. Maybe he was waiting for someone to come out? I sighed, and went into the cafeteria and sat next to Jeremy again.

As the movie ended everyone clapped, I dont know why they did. It's like people on planes. Everyone started getting up to go throw away there trash and go back to class. Jeremy and I got up and streched, I think I fell asleep for a little, but I was tired. The night before I stayed up late studying for a few tests.  "Right now it is 5th period!" The principal said. "Please report to your class!"

Everyone turned to head to there class, Jeremy and I walked towards the crowd talking about what plans we have for tonight. Bang. Bang. Bang.

There was a thump and people started screaming scrambling different ways, Jeremy and I looked where it came from. I looked around to see where it was coming from, I didnt know what was happening. More shots were fired, then I realized.

Oh My God. There was a shooter in the building.
