Chapter 4
I hung up and shook my head. I heard footsteps come down the stairs.
“Lipstick? Seriously?” Diego said while kissing his teeth.
“La’Shyra.” That was all I said before walking into the living room.
“Tell your child that if she carry’s on, imma beat her with the GUCCI belt.” He bare emphasized the Gucci. I shook my head.
“Kadeem I want to play a game.”
“What game?”
“Anything...”
I turnt the WII on and gave her the remote.
I sat down and watched her. It was about 1pm when the doorbell went off. I opened it to see De’Andre, Michael, Rochelle and Renee.
“Aww gimme Renee.” I took her from Rochelle and knelt down to her level. “Hi Renee.” She just screwed me and started crying.
“Come.”Michael said. Seriously? Some evil child. If you haven’t guessed Renee is Rochelle and Michael’s 3 year old daughter. And I swear she loved to cause trouble.
I let them in and kissed De’Andre.
“How was your sleep b?” De’Andre asked.
“Good, till she woke me up by screaming in my ear.” I said while he laughed.
“Don’t worry about it.” He said. We walked into the living room to see Renee and La’Shyra arguing.
“What’s going on?”
“Kadeem, she took the Wii remote out of my hands.”
“Noooo, I didn’t.”
“Tell the truth or I’ll box you up.” I stood there with my mouth wide open.
“Raaaaaaah! Abit rude.” Michael said. We all laughed.
“It’s a two player game.” De’Andre said while giving Renee the other remote.
“Well now it’s a one player game cos’ I aint playing.” La’Shyra said while doing the hand movements and putting her hands on her hips. Woooah.
“Wow. Right...Lets watch a movie then...Oh yeah where’s Kerryn?” I asked De’Andre while sitting on his lap.
“America.”
“Oooooh I want Hershey’s”
“I’ll let her know...what we watching then?” I took all the DVDs out from the cupboard under the TV. The doorbell went off once more.
“Choose.” I opened the door to see my ‘mum’, Shamari and Shamar with Kai, Shamar’s fiancé.
“Hmm.” I let them all in. “Right...” We made our way into the living room.
“So whats going on?” I looked around the room and noticed that Renee and La’Shyra weren’t in the room anymore.
“Uhm well...hold on. De’Andre put something on please.” I ran upstairs to find La’Shyra holding scissors above Renee’s head.
“SHY, what you doing?” I pulled them apart and took the downstairs.
“Cutting her hair what does it look like, I was doing? Gosh, open your eyes.” I kissed my teeth.
“Why you so rude?” I took them both into the living room.
“Well basically, this is La’Shyra. Say Hi.”
“No.” She put her hands on her hips.
“Shyra?”
“Deem?”
“Say Hi.”
“Fine...Hi.” Everyone laughed.
“welcome back to the fam’” Michael said.
“Fail.” La’Shyra said. We all looked at her and she just laughed.

“Thanks for this Jackie.”
“It’s alright. You ready to go Shy?”
“Yupp, thank you mummy.” She hugged me.
“It’s alright.”
“Come to the care home later, and I’ll see what i can do ok.” I nodded and she left.
