VALERIE HAS OFFICIALLY seen it all; first of all the apocalypse; then the amount of killing; the cambiables at Terminus; the weeks worth of starvations; Eugene lying about being able to save the world; Alexandria; her friends and uncle still alive; the people with 'W''s on their foreheads; and now Rick Grimes running towards Alexandria with half of the walker hoard on his ass.
But let's recap a little, right before that Michonne has returned but their was no Glenn. "The town was overrun. He split off with Nicholas." She explained to Valerie and Maggie. "He had this idea that if he lit a fire, it would stop the walkers from coming here. I tried to go instead, the fire never got lit. We have to keep going, I'm sorry." Michonne said.
"He said if he got stuck he would send a signal but here wasn't one." Michonne furtherer explained.
"Then we should be checking for flares just in case." Valerie said. "Thank you, for making it back." Valerie said to Michonne giving her a hug.
"Open the gate!" They heard.
"Is that Ri-?"
Valerie was cut off by the words repeating. "Open the gate!"
And then Rick got closer, "Open the gate now!" He yelled, since it had just been a few hours since the W's attacked she still had the silenced submachine gun with movable scope and had it ready.
Luckily, Rick got in, unluckily, Alexandria was just made into a lunch buffet. Everyone stood around as Rick give a speech about how they'll keep fighting but all Valerie thought about was Enid and Glenn, they were both gone and Maggie was really worried.
"You can hear it!" Rick yelled walking up the wall. "They got back here, half of them. Still enough to surround us, twenty deep." Rick paced back and forth as they all looked at him. "Look I know your scared, you haven't seen anything like this. You haven't been through anything like this. But we're safe for now." Rick told the community his voice all grungy at the end.
"The panel that truck boys seems intact. We reinforced it just in case. Either way the walls gonna hold together. Can you?" Rick asked look around.
"The others, they'll be back." Rick said trying to hype them up.
"They're gonna be back." Rosita reassured, Valerie smiled at her.
"Daryl, Abraham, Sasha, they have vehicles. They're gonna led 'em away, just like the others." Rick explained.
