As for the girls, Ruby fled the distressing scene with her sister in tow...or at least started to. She abruptly stopped, her eyes closing as if fainting before reopening with an eerily familiar crimson glow.

"Where are you going...?"

The older girl stopped mid-sentence when she noticed the changes. A devious smirk was curled across the redhead's lips.

"Perhaps there's going to be a change of plans," the little girl mumbled, seemingly to herself.

The other girl just about caught that line. "What...? What's wrong?"

An unrecognizable voice passed Ruby's lips, one completely void of the fear that she was just showing.

"Oh, nothing, sister..."

Her eyes widened. She had been right. She'd long suspected that her sister's constantly going offline like she did was no mere malfunction...

"Who are you?" She asked the intruder, reflexively taking a step back.

The one puppeteering the young girl seemed to bask in the elder girl's discomfort.

"You might call me your real father... Now, let's get down to business."

The blue-haired girl eyed the group who was still focused on Zack and London. Her frightened mind was racing. She could scream and maybe get their...

With a grabbing of her arm, Sapphira's train of thought was cut off on the spot and she remembered no more.

As Zack wandered about the halls of HQ, desperately trying to get away from everything and everyone, he was blissfully unaware of the fact that he was being watched.

Eventually, he bumped into two familiar faces...

"Ruby? Sapphira? Just...go back to the others."

He walked past them only for them to reappear in front of him a minute later, shocking him.

"What the?!"

They didn't move, instead merely staring at him like creepy twins out of a horror movie.

His depression was quickly being replaced with fear, but instinctively, he made a show of playing it off.

"If this is some kinda trick to scare me back over there or something..."

Instantly, though, he knew that that wasn't it. The two pairs of glowing, soulless red eyes and the staffs they now wielded did wonders in that department.

"Uh, on second thought, how about I drop you off. Then maybe we can have you two get looked at, because there's obviously something wrong with you guys..."

The two said nothing, but got into fighting stances.

Even a Zack who was angry at the world as he was right now wouldn't stoop as low as what was obviously being suggested. "Now hold on, I don't want to pick a fight with you..."

Then they spoke in unison with a deep, malevolent tone, clearly not from either of the two.

"Don't worry, there won't be a fight here..."

Ruby teleported behind him before he could even hope to get his guard up and sent her weapon crashing against the side of his head, knocking him out cold.

They abruptly took him with them as they warped away to their destination.
