AT High

Chapter 13: A Mistake

His hands tighten around my arms and lock in place leaving me with hardly a struggle. He has me right where he wants me, directly in front of him,  and our eyes locked. I take a deep breath preparing myself for whatever he has to say, but my rage boils and raises to the surface where it begins to overflow.

"Do you know how embarrassing that was! There are tons of people from school in that crowd and the one person i may actually have a shot with! I got here a month ago and things were finally going right but you just had to go and r-"

Silence. Complete silence was all there was. His lips collided with mine and it was if time had stopped and all that was left was the growing sound of my heart beat. My hands crashed onto his chest, struggling to push him off of me. I came here for Justin not him. But here I am, getting all emotional and flustered over this mans kiss. Before i knew it tears were streaming down my face and an abundant amount of questions shot through my head: Why is he doing this? What is he thinking? Why me? Why now!?

I was so frozen that I couldn't even speak as he moved his mouth from my lips down to my neck. But before anything could have happened the faint sound of foot steps got closer to the area we were stopped in. Marshal released his grip from my arms and walked off in the opposite direction of the sound. I stood frozen in confusion...I wasn't scared just shocked? I didn't understand why but soon the foot steps had a face and a voice and were shaking me out of my thoughts.

"Fiona? Hello? Anybody home?" Marshals bass guitarist said. "Have you seen Marshal anywhere? We were thinking of doing an encore?"

"Uh...no I haven't, sorry." I said slightly dazed.

"Hey, what happened to your neck? It's bleeding?"

"My neck?" My hand shot up to my neck where I felt a small scratch and some blood. "Oh...I must have scratched myself or something...nothing to be worried about I'm okay!"

"Ok? Well I'm gonna go. See ya."

He waved and then soon disappeared in the same direction Marshal had went.

The cut stung with pain as I traced my finger along it with some disinfecting alcohol. I had gotten home shortly after my talk with that guy from the band and called Cake who quickly came and got me. I had told her what happened and she had told me she would take care of me as soon as we got back to our dorm.

She came into the bathroom with some bandaids that were probably made for kids.

"Aren't they adorable! I love the pattern," Cake said excitedly.

They were covered in pink Daises with faces and were surrounded by little hearts.

"I guess they would be to five year olds," I said laughing.

"Hey! They're adorable and you know it!" She said furiously. "Now quit whining and put this on! You have to get to bed it's almost lights out time."

"Ok, ok."

I look at the scratch one last time before placing the bandaid over it and turning the lights out.

I lie in bed thinking about the previous events. I can't wrap my head around what had happened, what was he planning on doing? My heart beat and I got a sick feeling in my stomach.

Was he going to kill me?

*creak*

The sound of the window opening rings out in the silence and my heart stops. My eyes shift to the window where I can see that it's all the way opened.

I get up nervously and slowly walk over to the window. I lean my head out and look around but there's nothing but street lights that illuminate the campus. I take a deep breathe and pull my head back inside, sighing with relief.

I reach for my flash light on my desk to look around the room when someone jolts out of the darkness and covers my mouth with their hand.

Grabbing their arm I throw them over me and onto the ground. I quickly jump on them, grab there hands and pin them down. I reach for the flashlight and shine it in there face.

"Marshal!?"

He smiles deviously and slams his head into mine, making my vision fade and my mind slowly go blank.
