Things went back to the daily stuff after the camp. Astra had her usual morning coffee from the vending machine as she had the 8 am class today.
It was Cognitive Psychology in the morning, and intro to Psychology in the afternoon. Astra needed all the energy and caffeine she could get.
Astra had one assignment to submit on the weekend, so instead of going back to her dorm room, she went to the library instead.
It was still early in the term r so there were not too many people in the library. Astra chose the most secluded table she could find and set up her laptop. She read over the assignment and began her research on past articles.
About 30 minutes passed and Astra could feel her eyes slowly closing up. Astra decided to take a quick nap before continuing on her work.
She put all the important stuff into her back and used it as her pillow to lay her head on. The bag made a quite comfy pillow too.
Astra was not sure what time it was or how long had it been when she woke up and the first thing she saw was a pair of familiar arms typing on a tablet. Astra's head shot up to see Aiden typing on his laptop, sitting right next to her.
She blinked a few times to make sure she was seeing the right person, or thing. Aiden typed on the last full stop dot on his essay before turning his head to her, flashing her the usual warm and sweet smile.
"You're awake. I hope I didn't wake you up with all the typing noises."
Astra furrowed her eyebrows together, still trying to make sure she was actually seeing Aiden there.
Aiden waved his hand in front of her face. "Hello? Astra, are you there?"
Astra shook her head and smiled at him. "Oh, yeah, I'm here. Um, when did you get here?"
Aiden stopped typing on his laptop and turned to Astra. " Not too long ago, maybe 10 minutes ago? You wanna go grab some coffee?"
Astra knew she could not refuse coffee, it was a daily thing for her. They left their stuff on the table and went to the other side of the floor to get coffee from the vending machine.
While they were walking there, Aiden purposely walked slower than Astra to look at her from the back. He had always wondered what it was like to see her perfectly curled hair from the back. He never said it out loud, but Aiden loves to see her pretty hair, and he always loves how perfectly bouncy those curls were every time Astra was skipping around, or even when she was just walking around. He swore he did not mean to seem like a creep, he was just always in awe with her hair.
Astra's sudden turning around made Aiden halt in his steps. His breath hitched and he could feel his face heating up. He did not know the reason but he felt like a little child getting caught stealing from the Christmas cookie jar. Astra stopped in her steps and raised her right eyebrow. "Aiden, did you hear what I was saying?"
Aiden gave her a sheepish smile and walked to her.
"You were talking about the mid-term break. I heard you, sorry my mind was preoccupied with something else. Please, continue. You were saying?"
Astra continued on. "I was saying, the mid-term break is coming up and I invited Skye to come over and spend time. My best friend, Darian and I had been making this plan since we got our uni acceptance letters. We wanted our uni friends to get to know each other and we are planning to get together during the two-week break. What about you? Any plans during the break?"
Darian was contemplating whether he could join them because he actually had no specific plans for the break and his parents will be visiting his older sister who was studying in another university.
