"There is, of course, the feeling of fear. It is a natural emotion for all animals. What do you fear causes? There is a fear born of animal instinct, the kind of fear born in a rational mind. One may perceive fear when facing a foe stronger than oneself and realize there is no way to fight back or encounter the unknown. Their sheer uncertainty can be terrifying. You may struggle, resist, run away, or accept if faced with such fear. But upon meeting upon meeting Lord DIO, a fifth option is introduced...Joy!" A woman preached to Dio. The woman was a small elderly woman with large, puffy white hair and two pigtails. Her wrinkled face is dominated by her large eyes and toothless mouth. She wears large, baggy robes and carries a long wooden cane taller than herself. "How do people act once they feel joy in fear?" Dio asks the old hag, indirectly asking how she will deal with the Joestars chasing after him. "Our friend is on the plane that the Joestars and others have boarded. They will find it impossible to reach their final destination in one piece." She cackled.

New Tokyo International Airport

The car ride to the airport was rushed, but everything was provided by Speedwagon Foundation. Avdol, Kakyoin, and Joseph introduced themselves to the Maomao; the car was full of small talk and banter, getting to know each other personally. "Maomao, you're not from around here, are you?" Kakyoin asks her curiously, spiraling the two into a conversation.

"I'm not."

"Thought so; your name is quite foreign."

"It means Cat. In Chinese, 'Mao(貓)' translates to Cat, so I guess 'Maomao' calls it a kitty or cute variation."

"Are you usually this quiet?"

"no... just stressed."

"That boy was your brother?"

"Yes"

"What was his name?"

"Heihei."

"Matches your name, doesn't it? With the repeating sounds."

"Oh. His name is actually Heidan, but everyone calls him Heihei."

"Does it also have meaning like your name?"

"'Hei(黑)' means black. So I guess it means blacky, or something."

"Your parents thought of cute names for you two. Where are they anyway? You mentioned no one was at home to take care of Heihei."

"My mother is in Shanghai permanently. My father could be traveling the world for all I know. His job requires him to leave home often. So it's just Heihei and me at home."

"No wonder you were so panicked when Heidan got sick. You're a brave older sister, y'know? Asking for help from someone you barely knew... It must have taken a lot."

"Not really. When you need help, you need help. It was either doing nothing or choosing to look for solutions. This was my only solution. Stands are foreign to me. A simple fever isn't. So I had to ask for help."

"Going back to the issue on hand, if you and your little brother both developed Stands within the past four years, it must have been because of Dio. It isn't as if they developed randomly." Joseph jumps into their conversation. "I can ask my father about my heritage, but it seems unlikely. I've taken DNA tests, and I have no blood ties with the Europeans or Americans within the last century." Maomao replies skeptically. "Hmm... I'm not too sure then. Are you sure you don't recognize the name Dio?" Avdol puts a hand on his chin. "Not one bit." Maomao sighed and leaned back in her seat. The car was crowded, and Joseph sat in the driver's seat with Avdol. In the back, Maomao sat between Kakyoin and Jotaro.
