A delicious jolt yanked me from sleep sometime in the night. Disoriented for a beat, I blinked, then felt the familiar weight of Namjoon's arm draped across my waist. His chest, warm and solid, pressed against my back, a comforting anchor in the inky darkness.
A contented sigh escaped my lips. Safe. Nestled here against him, this was exactly where I belonged. The giddiness that had blossomed in my chest the day we met had only intensified with every sunrise and sunset since.
This wasn't just fondness; it was a full-blown case of being head-over-heels in love. With a sleepy smile, I drifted back to sleep, lulled by the gentle rise and fall of his breath against the quiet night.
Morning
With the last bite of toast disappearing down my throat, Namjoon leaned back in his chair, a playful glint in his eyes. "Alright, breakfast champion," he teased, "what's the master plan for conquering the rest of the day?"
I met his gaze with a smirk. "Are you trying to made me say it?" I countered, enjoying the lighthearted dance we were in.
He chuckled, a rich sound that sent shivers down my spine. "Perhaps," he admitted, raising an eyebrow playfully. "Maybe a hike in the crisp morning air is calling our name?"
"Absolutely not," I declared without missing a beat, the memory of a particularly treacherous trail still fresh in my mind.
"Shopping spree, then?" he persisted, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Tempting," I conceded, "but somehow, retail therapy doesn't feel quite right today."
"More food?" he offered, a grin plastered across his face.
"Namjoon!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in mock defeat. Our playful exchange was a welcome reprieve after the anticipation that had built over the past few weeks.
His grin softened as he rose from the table, his movements purposeful as he crossed the distance between us. Before I could react, he pulled me into a tight embrace, his lips finding mine in a kiss that spoke volumes.
"Weeks," he murmured against my skin, his voice husky with desire. "I don't know how I managed to wait this long."
The kiss was a delicious confirmation of everything we'd missed. As we held each other close, the anxieties and frustrations of separation melted away. Here, in his arms, it felt like coming home, a familiar comfort that resonated deep within my soul.
We pulled back, foreheads touching, our eyes locked in a silent conversation. The unspoken longing simmering beneath the surface finally ignited, a spark that danced between us.
Without a word, our hands reached out, drawing us closer until our bodies were flush. The space between us evaporated, the language of touch taking over, whispering promises and igniting desires.
A slow, tender kiss broke the dam, sending a wave of electricity through me. We deepened the kiss, losing ourselves in the intoxicating sensation of being whole again.
As we retreated to the edge of the bed, the air thick with anticipation, a single question hung in the air: what would we do next? With every stolen look, every brush of skin, the answer became more and more undeniable.
His gaze held mine, a storm brewing in the depths of his dark eyes. Desire crackled between us, a tangible energy that made the air hum.
As he reached out, a single finger brushing a stray curl from my face, a jolt of electricity shot through me. The simple touch was a spark igniting a fire that raged within, threatening to consume me whole.
