"Baby," You spoke to Reneé as you wrapped your arms around her. "I'm going to get some more to drink."

"Okay. Do you want me to come with you, baby?" She asked.

"It's okay, I'll only be a minute. You keep talking with your friends." You said before sending her a drunken smile and kissing her cheek.

You unwrapped your arms from around her and went into the kitchen to grab another drink.

Tonight, you and Reneé are at a party at one of her close friends' house.

You're getting pretty drunk already but after a long week, you needed this opportunity to have a little fun and let your hair down.

You refilled your cup and turned around, only to bump into a stranger who had snuck up behind you.

"Hello," The stranger said before sending you a smile.

It was a girl that seemed to be around your age and she seemed harmless, at least in your drunken state.

"Did you get more to drink?"

You nodded before stepping forward, only to nearly trip over your own two feet.

A loud drunken laugh let your lips and the girl in front of you reached out to grab ahold of you.

"I don't think you need more. You're drunk enough!" She laughed.

"I have to get back to my girlfriend." You slurred and took a couple more steps, only for the strange girl to grab your wrist.

"Now, now. What's the rush?"

You looked down at your wrist to see her fingers still wrapped around it, her touch lingering and uncomfortable.

"Stay here. Let's get to know each other more." She said before moving her hands to your hips, only for them to travel more.

"Quit it!" You said as you tried to pull away but her hands continued to travel down your body. "I said I have a girlfriend!"

"I won't tell if you won't. Come on, let's have a little fun."

She smirked at you and looked at your lips as if she was going to kiss you.

But before she could do anything, a voice came from behind you both, startling her but bringing you relief.

"Get your hands off of my girlfriend!"

You turned your head to see Reneé storming over before she pushed the girl away from you, causing her hands to leave your body.

"Leave her alone!" Reneé warned angrily. "Can't you see how drunk she is? And you're trying to take advantage of her and touch her? That's disgusting! Stay away from my girl!"

The stranger looked at you and Reneé in silence before focusing on you again, which only angered your girlfriend more.

"Stop looking at her!"

"Or what?"

Reneé huffed and clenched her jaw before stepping right in front of her, so angry that her fists were balled up, more than ready to throw some punches and do whatever it took to protect you.

"You want to find out? Come on, try me." Reneé warned. "Let's make this party a little more exciting. Go ahead, try to touch my girl again. I dare you."

Reneé was fuming and dead serious about the warnings leaving her lips.

"But you'll regret it. You can either leave on your own or with some broken bones and black eyes. Your choice."

The stranger looked at her and then at you.

"I'll do whatever it takes to protect my girl. Put your hands on her again, I'll break them." Reneé smiled.

"Whatever." She grumbled before walking away, stomping her feet and groaning angrily with each step she took.

Reneé came back over to you and smiled as you wrapped your arms around her.

"Thank you."

"No problem, my love. No one touches my girl, not ever."

She kissed your head and noticed how tired you were starting to look.

"Do you want to head home?"

"Yes, please," You said before she wrapped her arms around you.

"Then let's get you home... before that hangover hits." She giggled and helped you with each step you took, swearing she'd do whatever it took to always keep you safe.
