"Y/N? Could I see you in my office for one moment?" You heard your CEO ask from across the room.

You nodded before getting up from your seat to follow her into her office.

She was just about to close the door when someone knocked on it, making her eyes roll in annoyance.

"Can I help you?" She asked as she saw one of your coworkers standing there.

"I just wanted to let you know that I'm almost finished with the report you want done but I'm going to need another day."

She shook her head with a sigh.

"You mean the report I've been waiting almost two weeks on? The same one that was supposed to be on my desk three days ago?" She asked as she folded her arms over her chest. "What's the excuse now!?"

"I got in late today. I was sick this morning."

Reneé shook her head.

"I can smell the alcohol on your breath. You being hungover is not a valid excuse. It was a work night. If you drink too much to be working, you shouldn't be drinking to begin with."

Your coworker looked over at you as you stood silent, knowing better than to interject.

"The report will be on my desk by lunch or you will no longer have a job. Is that understood?"

"But-"

"Is that understood?" She repeated.

"Yes."

And with that, your coworker left her office and closed her door.

She went to sit on her chair as you walked over to her desk.

"You wanted to see me?"

"Yes. Because you, Y/N, are the only one here that I don't despise." She said before chuckling a little smile. "Everyone here is slacking off, blowing work off with the most unbelievable excuses, or is just getting on my last nerve. You, however, are a sweet little angel and I just wanted to see you and get a break from the chaos."

She patted her lap and you happily sat on it before wrapping your arms around her neck.

"Now, not to bring work up between us, but I do have to treat you like a normal employee here so I'll ask in the sweetest way possible for you to please give me some good news."

"Well, I do have good news. Everything you asked me to work on is completed. The copy machine was broken but I called someone to fix it and they'll be here this afternoon to do so. All the reports and paperwork you had me work on is finished."

"I knew I could count on you." She smiled as she brushed her fingers along your back.

"You seem so stressed out."

"I am." She sighed. "This is such an exhausting job. I know people on the outside looking in always think CEOs have a super easy job to do but it's the opposite. I'm so stressed I could just pull my hair out."

"Don't do that. Your hair is very pretty." You said as you brushed your fingers through her blonde locks, making a smile tug at her lips.

"Well, I have you. That makes things much easier." She spoke before cupping your cheek to pull you in for a kiss. "You're amazing."

"And you're a softie." You teased.

"Oh, gosh, no." She chuckled as she pulled away from your lips. "I am only a softie when it comes to you, my sweet girl. Everyone else can go to hell. I can't stand anyone else. But you, my love, I can happily admit that I am a major softie for."

You brushed your fingers along her cheek as you stared into her eyes, watching as they sparkled while she gazed into yours.

"I just adore you."

You leaned in and kissed her again.

"I adore you too."

She smiled against your lips before pulling away to kiss your neck, her fingertips slowly slipping beneath your skirt.

But just as you began to melt, there was another knock at the door.

"Not again." She groaned.

You got up from her lap and sat in the chair across from her, pretending to be in a work-related conversation as the door opened.

"Excuse me. I'm in the middle of something." Reneé said as another one of your coworkers stepped in.

"Sorry, ma'am. Just wanted to let you know that the fax machine isn't working anymore."

"I'll call someone for that." You said and Renee nodded.

"I can do it. She's already dealing with the copy machine being broken. I can take that on."

Reneé shook her head at your coworker.

"That's alright. Y/N will take care of it. I already gave you things I need done today. Please stick to that."

"Why isn't Y/N?"

Reneé scoffed.

"Because she already completed what she had to get done today. Unlike almost everyone else here. Get back to work and leave her out of this."

She threw her head back with a groan as soon as her office door was closed once again.

"People." She grumbled as you sat back down on her lap.

"I should get back to work."

She whined and put her arms around you before she began to kiss your jaw.

"Do you have to? Can't we just lock the door and make out on my desk instead?"

You giggled.

"I think the other employees would get suspicious if that happened. But how about this? Tonight, when I'm off work, we could go back to my place or yours and order some food. We could make out after."

"I like that idea." She smirked and kissed your lips. "Okay, I'll let you get back to work. But if that guy gets on you, you come straight to me. No hesitation. I'll fire him immediately."

"Can you do that?" You laughed.

"Baby, I'm the CEO. I can do anything." She smirked and you chuckled before kissing her cheek.

"Okay, my secretly soft protective girl. I'll see you a bit later. I love you."

"I love you too." She said as she watched you walk out, already excited for the day to be over so she could get you all to herself again and escape the chaos and stress around her.
