The cascading banner in front of the museum is enough to make any astronomy fanatic squeal. Perhaps the exhibit will reawaken her childhood dreams. I've always thought she'd still like to live her fantasy. However, her vacant eyes and the petulant pout on her lips say otherwise. Maybe this wasn't the best idea...
"Let's go to the mall, Jo, pretty please," she says, her hand creeping up my chest.
Her dangerously soft allure taunts me. But I resist.
"Don't you have questions? Something you want to learn about?" I clasp her hand.
"There's always another day, Jo," she says, and I feel the cosmos draw me in as the world around me begins to crumble.
